The new Profile Pages at Music Freedom are very nice and I like the way my page is shaping up. There have been some site mergers there and lots of new features have been added. Head guys from Music Freedom have myspace pages and are working wth a few of my favorite music artists who have pages here at myspace too. They the Music Freedom (top guys) also have You tutbe pages. I expect in 2007 that more MySpace musicians will have pages both there and here. I have noticed special features added here at myspace that screams "we have talked to those guys over there" This is NOT insider information, because as usual I am on the edge of being totally outside the loop. But, I'll keep my eyes and ears open and blog when the information is more news worthy. I don't want to spread false rumors, so I'll zip my lip on the partial details for now.

Additional Music

There is a wide variety of music choices which I enjoy. Circumstances occurred recently that caused me to lose my entire music library. I'm not buying One Thousand CDs & dvd's on tomorrow. I joined a cd of the month club, but, it would take 86 years to replace 1000 cd's and movies. I have recently been exploring new talents that I had not previously been well aquainted with, here at My Space Music profile pages. Some of my discoveries here will work their way into my new personal music libray. Music is a big part of my life. Music helps to create the environment and atmosphere which draws out my own personal talents. My musical preference is spread over a wide variety of genres. Likewise my personal interest, hobbies, and work diciplines and goals are varied and multifaceted.

Now I just so happen to have a hacker who is not ultra dangerous but is quite a nussaince. I took my decoder box off, because,who ever keeps coming to my page editor keeps moving the text around so that the message is really stupid. Now I have fixed the message below about 5 times. This flash embed is not the problem. The message on the decoder and the wave below are actually typed in on my profile page. The gadget designers are innocent. This page and profile is edited and hacked regularly both by myspace crew and some prankster. So, I don't have time to change the page as my maintenence is to recreate and fix the changes tha some Smart Alec keeps making. The thing is, it's a myspace user. Probably someone on my friends list that was added between April and July. What I can say is that somebody needs to get a hobby. But, If I find out who you are I will blog about you so much that your promising future in web development will be less promising. For me, it has actually made it easier to read code, because, I am forced to check it so much. I cannot even wrap my mind around what a person might get out of it. If it's to see whether I'm checking my profile, well that won't do them any good...sometimes I see the changes they make laugh and leave it. It will make it easier to catch you if you think I'm not checking. I know the person who did this will see this message, because, they visit my page quite often. To anyone else , excuse me for putting this in my "music section." If you are visiting and are not a myspace member, you probably don't get this message at all. If you are a myspace user and haven't dabbled in code, you still might not know what this message is all about. Basically, hackers who spend more time destroying than creating are "hacking pages". Some will go on to be good web designers and coders. Others are just cyber criminals and pranksters in training.
But, I keep copies of everything at other places, so it's more of a pain than a problem. What's a problem is the fact that these guys are smart enough to do big damage to sites if they wanted to.
So to whoever didn't like my Blingy bob code - "Congrats to you" I'm taking it off here and will put it in other places...are you happy now? Will you stop hacking me, please?

Super Mario
a new source For Super Mario games has een found at a recently aded myspace page. You'll find it in my friends list on page 8 for now . It's the one that looks like Mario. You can play the game there. I also put a copy on my googlepages at http://debraford123.googlepages/supermario

The following Games have been removed due to a page theft having profiles redirected if you had the Old Super Mario Game version from another source. I also removed Pac Man I put a copy of pacman at my google pages but, that source is touch and go. Some days it's there and some ddays it isn't. So I am still on the look out for a Reliable Pacman game. I think I have foundsources for frogger and asteroids too. I'll put them on my google pages and at my site in 2007. Frogger & Asteroids that I took off this profile I got the code from the same source as the problemed site even though the games were hosted elsewhere. I notified the people I got the wierd code from but their page was also being diverted to a different to their games section. In my search of safer methods and safer sources I've found quite a lot of new and interesting Game designs. I apologize for any problems and the ultimate decision not to put games directly on this profile. By putting the games on seperat locations there isn't as much a problem if just the game page goes bananas than the whole profile getting wierd. The bothersome part that makes you aware of the "potential problems" is that the games worked fine for months and then one day out of the blue my entire profile was being automatically redirected to another place. Since, I was still able to get to the home page I was able to edit the profile and strip ot the code.

It is so easy to just log in to the home page, visit other people's pages and forget to look at our own profiles. From time to time everyone with a profile should check it out to see if it is still there or looks like it did the last time they saw it. There have been lots of changes to my page which were never made by me.

A lot of you may read about topics in my blog and say "What is she talking about?" If you don't get it that may be becuase you haven't had any problemms which is lucky for you. If you ever have any problems in the future, you'll suddenly unerstand.
The trickiest part was identifying which embed codes were causing the problems.

I am an artist, a writer, poet, computer nerd, dancer, web builder, a blogmiester, a hermit, an entrepreneur, a gamer, a workaholic, and a science - techie. Though it sound like a lot of interesting things, I adapt and attempt to balance it all and remain a tad bit mundane in my day to day passage. It's all in the passing you know. I tend to be a sweet person as long as you don't try to describe me to me and get it all wrong. It's okay to make observations, but, if you think you can sum me up, chances are that you are wrong. I dislike it when people offer me the exact opposite thing of that which I'm looking for, or desperately in need of at the time. Nothing makes me madder than when people manage to make me mad...they think it's funny, so I go away

At MSN's "Spaces Live" I have game reviews, music artist release news and some news. I haven't updated there much lately, because, it is a lot slower since the new changes to the site they went "live" what ever the heck that means. I just know it's a lot slower and I have a fast machine. So I hate to put too much there if most people can't acess the pages. I periodically update the blog, but, I won't put new contnet on a regular basis ther anymore until they work out the kinks. Feel free to visit and see all the old stuff I posted there, which will eventually show up on my main site. Next year I will probably post new stuff there. You may wonder why all the free pages if I have my own website and domain. Well, I am not a rich girl and if I have a personal financial crisis, if my account would be empty when I get the monthly draft for my website you seethen my entire site would dissappear. So, If I was to get in a crunch my entire website would evaporate, because, I missed a payment. Now that would be a very bad day. Unexpected things happen you know. Take Hurricanes for example...no body expects a category 5 to hit their house. Well, I had been saying it would happen since I was 15 and had been trying to change cities since I was 17. Guess what almost 30 years later...I moved. So places to write and save stuff that is always in a different place than where I am sounds like a good idea to me. And, I won't wait for all my work to be perfect to submit it to publishers this time around. I will share the words the ideas and the passion that drives me to write something every day of my life since I was 8 years old.

At AOL I will keep a Journal which has been neglected for a very long time so I will do a mega posting there, but, it will all be stuff you already can find here. That makes it a lot less of a journal, I do believe. At music Freedom do a little bit of Music Reviews of Indie Artist. That is a place that I will periodically change the music selection I have in my music player over there. Eventually, I will do poetry recordings of my own. I was hoping to learn to play the guitar so that I can play in the background...but, that's going to take a while. But until then I will sport the people who have more talent than myself. I have also reserved a page at MP3 which is sadly waiting for my unrecorded recordings. I do have the software though.

MY Space

it was the plan to do videos and music. Though that was the original focus, there is such a wide diversity of people and ideas here that I have elected to cover a wider variety here in order to share things I had planned to only put on my personal domain. So now the content here is very full and it has changed many times since March of 2006. I found myspace while looking for Matchbox 20 on the Internet. I found Matchbox 20 page here and then Rob Thomas' page. Those were the 1st two Myspace pages I ever saw in life. Two days later I came back and got my page. So, now that I am settled into he fact that there is no Matchbox 20 page is something I take personally. Now I was just informed again that there is a New MB20 Page. So far they have loads of friends but the music player isn't working, so I don't know what to think.

It may seem amusing, that, I am both proactive and lazy. I tend to remind my self that I'm lazy so that I'll remember to take breaks.

Did I mention I was a computer nerd? Well actually I have been told that the acurate description for my case would be geek and not nerd. My story, well, you will have to follow my threads that I weave in my web-logs.

Oh yes. In April 2006 I found out that I was a groupie. Previously, I didn't understand that concept. There are different types of groupies. I am a groupie by default because I am in search of music and I am following the trails of the best. Now, you won't see all of them in my friends lists, because: 1) it takes quite a deal of time. 2) All of them aren't on myspace 3) Some of them have great pages, but are so well loved that everyone is on their friends list here and some of those friends can't seem to keep their clothes on. (So If I didn't accept your band invite it might be because of 10,000 friends who can't manage to keep their clothes from falling off whenever there is a camera around. 4) The Music artist pages that are promoting drugs harder than they are pushing their music, well I suddenly don't care for their music anymore when I get to their pages. Don't they realise the reason they don't get the sales they want is because their fans also spent all their money on drugs. Hey, I say do what you want in your own privacy, but if you are trying to prove a point on the public Internet, I won't be on your friends list when you and all your friends get deleted.

On that point, about tawdry friends. It is clean sweep time. When I accepted you guys as friends I checked your friends section to see what my visitors would find. Since, adding you some of you have gotten real tacky. And some of you have way more videos than I can keep up with even though I try to keep up with the text content. You know who you are. Others auto accept comments and your friends posted comments are totally out of control. A good deal of them aren't on my friends list anymore. Or maybe you just got sent to the back room if you are only semi tacky. I'm actually very open minded. But, I know that a lot of people including children are visiting pages just because you are on my friends list. Most of my real world friends Refuse to get myspace pages, because, there are some wild profiles here. But, they will still visit my page and my friends pages. So, if I delete you from my friends list it might be in your best interest, because a visitor who isn't even a myspace member can report you for being too tacky. So please don't get mad if I can't add you or if you suddenly get deleted from my friends list. I will try to remember to favorite you before I delete you.

What surprised me was that some of my friends actually got deleted by administration. So those who got tacky and I hadn't even noticed because I was too busy, somebody else hits inappropriate content. So, I have these red X's in my comment box from people who got zapped. Every once in a while I will lose a couple friends on my top friends list. Those were many times people who weren't in the band and fictitiously set up Music pages. Please don't do that. You have to have a email address to get an account. You may think you are only tricking myspace. Don't people know that there are laws associated with fraud and misrepresentation.

With that being said, make sure to scroll down so you can hear Rob Thomas serenade us. You notice I said "us" and not "me." Rob's birthday is the day after mine. We were Valentines babies...that's why we are so lovable. Okay, girls, he's taken, he's in love, just happy for him and love his music anyway. He released his Solo Album "Something To Be" in 2006 for our birthday's. Yes, I said "our." In case you didn't know about it, I have some of his tunes here. The Canadian Tour has wrapped up in the Spring 2006 and Jewel opened for him on many of his summer 2006locations. Members of the band that traveled with Rob Thomas are right in my friend's section. Likewise, I researched the names of all the older members of Matchbox 20 and the majority of them have their own myspace pages. They are on my friends list too. That's how you find good music. Good groups have pretty good tastes in musicians...of course. Chances are that the spin off groups are going to also produce music within my tastes. I read that a lot of people automatically set their accounts to not accept invites from musicians. Musicians are the main reason I have a page here. It is a virtual jukebox over here. In the last 10 years I have not been pleased with radio. Radio - free over the air waves has played a large role in my decision to buy music in the past. But, I prefer not to tune in if my entertainment is making me mad. So how do you find new music and the upcoming hots. I haven't watched TV for a year...so that won't do it. Music is an important part of life for me. And I don't sing well enough to fill the gap.

It mystifies me when major labels forbid their artists to give away samples, or tell people they can't blog their videos. The music I copied from the radio onto reel to reel tapes, and cassettes, were the albums I eventually bought. When I no longer had a record player, I bought the music on cassettes. Then I bought it on CD's- None of which I have today. Music I have already bought 3 times are going to the back of the list. And the one's whose record companies are suing their artists, well I don't know what to think about that. So, I am really looking for indie artists. That way if I buy and rebuy, hopefully the money actually is getting to everyone in the band. Things that make me sad is if I buy a new copy of old music and in that same year I read that one of the people who were in the band is homeless...then something is wrong. Now the Record label is doing fine and somebody still gets royalties, so how is it that one of the members of a band that sold the same music consistently for 20 years has absolutely nothing. That's when listening to music makes you torn between being happy and sad.

There is nothing like a referral or testimonial. If someone who swiped a copy of your music learns all the words and sings it around their friends, more people who will eventually buy your music exist than those who will never buy. Facing reality, there are more people on this planet today who "can't afford" music that who can. The broke folk are the ones that make permanent mental notes of what they will buy when they aren't broke anymore. And the broke folk are appreciative of the things they own when they pinch their pennies and buy music. And you know what else we do? We - referring to me and the other broke folk... we do buy music and we tell other people what is good and what not to waste their money on. A music referral from a broke or poor person is more dynamic than from a rich person. Facing facts, the ultra rich want to have the best so they will hire someone to go out and get them as much of the best as they can find. They don't really know what they own because they have so much. You make the same profit if a rich person buys your music as when a poor person buys your music. But the man with 20 CD's can list them... rattle them off in a flash. The rich guy isn't telling all his friends about his entire music collection because, most of the very tall stack is still in unopened packages.

Nobody put me up to this. This is entirely my own idea to let Rob hang out at my space. We're all going to share the love here. Now, I have an excuse to listen to his songs, over, and over, and over again. Not that I needed an excuse...I would have done it anyway. There is a catch to Rob's Something to Be album, well you can't put the songs from your CD onto Your computer. You have to put the disk in. Now all my other Match Box 20 Music and Sntana mind you is on my computer, and I can set my music player to shuffle. well it never, ever gets arount to playing "All that I am" because thatis on the disk. Typically I have data disks in my drive and can't even put my finger on a music disk that is not on my computer. Right now I couldn't tell you where my Something to Be CD is... this makes me sad. So there are days I come to Myspace to hear music I already bought. Urgh!!!! Slowly, I am loving indie artist more and more that aren't entangled by the protective huge labels that won't even let you put purchased music on your computer.

Some times I'm just going to have to put Earth Wind and Fire and some of my other favorites on for my profile song. I'm not sure who goes up next. Since, All that I Am is Gone. "Litttle Wonders" which is now up on Rob's page is the new profile song for Bee Bridge

I have a friend named Tom. He's busy, most times. You see, Tom Has over 160 Million friends and counting. I wouldn't mind a bunch of friends, if they weren't all at my house or calling my phone, or sending me email spam. The whole new "Hermitage" is not really conducive for meeting people. I like the web and net concept, there is time to do all the work "stuff" and still can stay connected to living beings, somewheres out there. I've joined quite a few forums, developer's groups, and have loads of business mail. Forums have sometimes caused problems since a lot of spammers go to forums to find email addresses. And sometimes joining groups on certain networks is even worse. So be selective when joining groups. There isn't any problem with myspace groups because extra information about you isn't disclosed there. Good thing.

There are of course numerous shortlive Matchbox 20 pages which are either not real band pages or anattempt to go incognito. There is Matchbox 20 - Bright Lights of the UK have a new page to represent their fan based community website which is run in the UK . The profile page on Myspace is Tabitha's Secret page here has recently been posted by a dedicated fan (not me, mind you). For those of you who are not familiar: Tabitha's Secret is the original Band that became Matchbox 20. If you checked my favorite pages on spaces you'll find an awful lot of pages playing music by the

Orchestra. I actually bought my soundtracks for "The Matrix" movies before I bought my first Matrix DVD. Don Davis had a permanent spot in my top spots until he decided to delete his pages. He removed his pages from Myspace shortly after starting work on the soundtrack for "Marine". Did you know you can watch "The Matrix" movie with just music score and commentary? That way you catch some extras which actually do not show up on your "Matrix Soundtrack " album.
Don Davis contacted me and let me know that I had been promoting an impostor page. He Added a music account and I helped him get out the notice to his fans to visit his real page. I am happy to say that the majority of people who had signed up on imposter's friends list have also joined the authentic list. It is one thing to a tribute...It is an entirely different matter to impersonate someone. If anyone is doing a page themed around someone else please acknowledge who you are. Do not engage in conversations and emails under the pretense of being someone else. If you do not want people to know who you are that's fine, But, it is entirely unfair to misrepresent someone else. There are many celebrities who don't mind you using their images because it boosts their presence in the public eye. But, to deceive a fan and hold conversations about things which you have no authority over is unfair to the fans and the celebrities. If you just want to have fun pick a fictional character, or a cartoon, an inanimate object. Avoid being a lawbreaker and a character tainter. And that's the way I feel. Of course, it isn't out of the norm to find that some Celebrities actually hire people to represent a presence to their fans. Even at this the fans are aware that popularity means that contact may be rare. The public can handle the truth if an artist is using hired public relations persons. It is the whole concept of pretense that causes the most problems. It is in the best interest of the to have their representation be acknowledged, because there is no way for them to find out what was being said in private emails.

Pay no attention to "sharpie" or "mac" or "Bill" when you visit my friend's page. I love the pages but, there is no telling who the person is on those profile pages. I am sure that the person who reads the mail at Sharpie's page is not a felt tip marker. some inanimate object pages are filled with loads of history facts about diferent topics. I find them both fun and sometimes very educational. When you first get your site and have no friends you go for the sure bet. They have been good friends that don't seem to get upset if I don't have time to visit and comment regularly. Now "bar code" actually has some great music. Ha! And yes, Sharpie has been a good friend of mine since the early Eighties and I have bought a many permanent marker in my day. Sharpie is a permanent personal friend. I am fully aware that the characters from the Matrix Movie are not real people. However, the people who hold those pages and answer the emails are indeed real people. Some share a high interest in uncovering unknowns and others like the association with the characters they have chosen.

whose page was recently deleted so I have rerouted links to his other pages at Myspace it has not yet been determined if these pages are his pages or just tribute pages to honor his music.

If I really met the people I really wanted to meet, I'd probably spend the whole visit going "wow" , " I can't believe I met you," just grinning - making a memory to take with me. Or else, we would get into some intense exchange while I'd try to suck in every single word. So, if I meet you and start going "wow," it's a good sign. Worst case, I'd ramble on, the way that I write and forget it was my chance to get to know them.

Something similar to that happened when I went on im with Earth Wind and Fire. I had just figured there was someone appointed to handle the IM's for EWF. there I was passing on tips like the geeky girl I am, and Iget the usual "thanks for the tip that was very helpful" And then I recieve "Virine White" Now, if I wasn't inthe bed using my lap top I would have fallen on the floor right then. Of all the quesstions I had for the group ver the years - nothing, a total blank. He says he gets that a lot. We di have a nice conversation though. I told him I went to thier concert at the Kool Jazz SupperFest in the Superdome in 1978. He said " I remember that. we were the first concert to open the super dome and the last concert before Hurricane Katrina in the Superdome" or something like that. He gave me some links and we IM a bit. He was totally cool and very modest about the group's talent. I think that is why they have stayed good for so long, because they keep it real, and are in touch. I haven't IM him again since he says they get over 3000 a day in IMs and Emails here at myspace. So I was just lucky to be on when he got to mine. So I did a little better than just say wow, but, I must admit I did go numb when I found out who it was. IM doesen't work well if you just sit infront of the keyboard with your mouth open. The other person can't see your reaction and the whole instant concept goes out the window when you are sitting in your little daze. I do think I actually typed wow about 3 times while on.

Who would I like to write me back?

Now this is a question that I might like to answer some day. But not now. Important duties are calling my name.

It is extremely interesting to edit profile pages with a text editor rather than a word processing program. The attempt to create an entire page template without removing the original page template has taught me very much about, the power of simlpe command strings. The first 6 months here will serve as my virtual training program. The safe part is that making an error in a style sheet only effects one webpage and not an entire website.. It offers more room to experiment than using a style sheet that applies to 100 pages. It has also opened my eyes to the possibility of having a variety of style sheets, one per page, even on a multi paged website. That would open up the posibility to show an artistic range. I believe that the wider diversity will be applied to my personal domain and I will reserve a formal design approach to my business design pages that won't even be available before 2007.

Additionally, the advantage of learning to work on the coded side of the editor would be quite helpful when traveling. (With the possible need to maintain a full site) With a laptop, wireless as it may be, locality will play a large part in the availability of a signal. It is highly possible that there is no secure signal, and none at all in some mountaneous areas. So my focus is on content and procedure rather than profiecency in grammatical impecability, at this particular time. My goal would be to have the ability to know what needed to be done to repair or update a multi account site using whatever dialup network that could be accesed from remote locations in a timely fashion and keep up with the incomming duties as they occur. There are some who say: I should focus on one thing and one thing only at a time. But, that does not teach me how to brush up on or enhance my skills that are needed in real life complications. Disasters are not planned, and, if one occurs, focusing on and doing only one thing at a time, would mean that the other 49 things which are falling apart are being ignored and what could be reduced into a minor complication would cascade into a horrible situation. Things are often, in life, problematic, because, they are unforseen and require you to learn that: the possibility of the problem exists the same day you need to learn how to fix it. So, in my personal training (which I really would NOT recommend) I have to improve my ability to remove the complications from situations I am very unfamiliar with. The entire debraford123 team is one person. Since, I don't plan to clone myself, (even if it were possible) I can either lay a stronger skill base now or decide that it's alright to take twenty years to accomplish what I will accomplish in 2-5 years. I think it would be nice to have the "Option to retire" before one was "decrepate", if one wanted to do so. All of that discussion was just a few thoughts about "why I think it has been very interesting to edit webpages without a word processor".
