Heroes
John Marean who slays my dragons, all indie filmmakers who follow their dreams despite the obstacles, and they refuse to take "no" for an answer! And anyone who takes in a stray dog and gives it a home.
I write spicy novels, fiction, but not quite erotica or romance. Perfect airplane books. Written with women in mind, but men seem to love them. Quick reads, but full of emotion.

About me: Lucky to be the Film Commissioner for Nassau County since 1989, my job is ever challenging and changing. I've met brilliant filmmakers and many in the industry I am proud to call friends.
Being Director of the Long Island International Film Expo has been an amazing experience. Crossing paths with the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin, Dan Lauria,Cliff Robertson, Ralph Macchio, Steve Guttenberg, Abe Vigoda and many others has been exciting and inspiring. Meeting independent filmmakers whose visions come to life on the big screen has been a blessing for any artist to experience.
My freelance writing career includes commercial scripts for a leased-access television program, magazine ghost writing and website content.
My experience in the film industry has influenced my writing, and I've been told my three novels are sexy and cinematic. Naked in the Rain, my first book, is now available at BN.com and Amazon.com, or just click here: www.debramarkowitz.com.
You can also contact me at DebFilm@aol.com. My second book, Sarah and Caleb is available at www.outskirtspress.com/debramarkowitz.
Who I'd like to meet: Literary agents looking for a prolific writer. People who like to read adult fiction. Filmmakers. People who belong to book groups.

The sun finally came out in New England. It's going to be a great weekend. A Demon Awaits is coming out October 14th and I'm off to work on my new book while I get ready to get out and meet readers.
Okay, that's a big lie. I'm really sending you this because I want you and people who look at your page to buy my books.
There. I said it. You're just a cheap promo opportunity for me. I'm even using a bot to send out hundreds of these comments rather than taking the time to contact you personally.
But I also love you. A lot. You're my very favorite MySpace friend. Really. Thank you for being you.
