A group of songwriting females that became quick friends hatched a brilliant idea...the band was called SheNanigans and debuted on April 22, 2008. The core members were rhodyjane meadows, Melody Perez, Steph Schaffner, and myself. We were blessed to have Amy Michels, Marcianne O'Day, and Marla Edwards join us a few times. All of these women are skilled musicians, singers, songwriters, and performers and I have been in awe of their talent ever since I met them. I'm just a songwriter, and I will always be grateful they let me tag along. Our little band was short-lived, but for that brief time, I had a blast!
Influences
I am one of those people who truly enjoys all genres of music. My favorites include The Eagles, Bill Monroe, The Osborne Brothers, ELVIS, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Prince, Rod Stewart, Heart, Dean Martin, America, and Kay Kyser to name a few. As for songwriters...Hugh Prestwood, Don Henry, rhodyjane meadows, Roger Fair, Kimmie Rhodes, for a start. I have a huge collection of 45's, 78's, LPs, cassettes, CDs, and music videos that I listen to daily. Music is such a huge part of my life....it makes life worth living.
Sounds Like
No one in particular. Anyone can take a song, make it their own, and ta dah! Uniqueness! Bliss! Almost any song can cross all genres when an artist or musician brands it with his/her own special style. So my songs sound like "YOU"!

My song catalog consists mostly of COUNTRY music, but features pop, bluegrass, rap, holiday, and graduation tunes, as well.
I am happily married, have 2 children ages 30 and 28, and one granddaughter, age 9.
As a songwriter, and owner of Redhound '76 Publishing, I am affiliated with BMI of Nashville, Tennessee. My first music project was a song I released about my hometown, Corbin, Kentucky. In 2005, I became a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI), which is one of the best things I ever did.
I'd like to acknowledge the wonderful studio work on my demos by John Gardner of Fine Tune Recording Studio, Frank Michels of Frank's Nashville Demos, Richard Porter of Classic Recording, John Matheson of Matheson Sound Tech Recording, Steve Bodner of Sweetsong Productions, and David Burton of Mama's Tater Room Recording.
That's all for now...hope you'll take a listen to my tunes. I always appreciate feedback....so please tell me what you think. If you'd like to hear some of my other songs, just email me and ask!
OH YES...I HAVE A NEW ONLINE STORE, please check it out at
www.periwinklesage.com. You can order my music from there, too!
Thanks for stopping my My Space! And as they say at NSAI -
"It all begins with a song".

Hey Debra, Wish I could have been there...was all set to go but unfortunately car trouble kept me away. Hopefully will be able to come next month. Blessings, -Tracy
Hey Debra, hope all is well! I think it was your husband who stopped in to the worskshop last month and said your back was bothering you. Hope you are feeling better! Roger played him your new song, and I thought it sounded great! Are you guys getting it demoed?
Hi Debra! Sorry to hear about the "PTB"...have never had one taken at one of those either. But, as they say, try, try again! I haven't heard anything yet about the luncheon. They are suppose to let me know the status, but I am not sure when the next publisher's luncheon is. Not sure if you went to the meeting today as I was not able to go. Hoping I can next month.
Hey Debbie, thanks for the comment and phtoto comments! Back in the days when I had some hair! :) The song that made it through was my southern gospel song "I Can Do All Things." I hope it goes well for you on the 16th! I would normally try to go that, but I have a business conflict that day and can't make it. I am thinking about taking a couple of days off in November to go to a Christian pitch event and try to meet with my BMI rep.
She is not in our write ups because the members of the band change. Our daughter maintains the Myspace and she only places what we approve on the website.
