Decadence, a band that began in 1988 straight from a high school of metal, McLane Highlanders, bands such as Betrayel, Final Terror, Baphomet, Anihlation, Confirmed 187, Disposable nun, Condemnation, Morbid, Grid Iron, Dreadful Etiquette and others, the origional band Hateful Youth with band members Bernie ( NARD ) Bolivar guitars and vocals, Mike Bradford guitars, Bo Baroni bass, and Bobby Jaguar drums, played shows at the age of 17, 18, of venues of local bars back in the beggining of the days were Guns and Roses use to play before they got there greak, as well as other bands a venue than The Zoo, a bar on the edge of town. Then after the departue of Bobby Jaguar who's father was and is an author of many story's and books moved to Mexico City, than thus inviting his son Bobby to join him there. than thus new member Julian Vasquez joind Hateful Youth a band that covered such bands as Metallica, Metal Church, S.O.D., Misfits, etc. along with origionals, than came up with the thought after Bobby leaving the band Hateful Youth was no longer Hateful Youth, the band than came up with Desecrator as the new band. After the departure of Mike bradford his best friend in High School which they studied classical guitar as a class in high School who's teacher was Mike dana and well known guitairst and songwriter/ musician who's songs have appeared on Bank Of America campaigns and other campaigns as well. In there class together after lunch activities, lol, they wen't to there class and instead of playing the normal bach, segovia, and other music to be played, they jammed together in there sound proof practice room on Desecrator songs, when they didn't cut class, lol. After an array of local gigs with bands such as the crucified and others Bernie met guitarist Mike Phillips at a gig who played with then a band playing Iron Maiden and Rush covers. Mike than quit his band to join the band, talent takeing shape Bernie met Paul White at the bar and than got things rolling to membering him than thus creating the band DECADENCE. The band got there following playing a bunch of keg party's on the weekend funded from them and others and began arrangeing gigs on their own getting party's sorted of 4 to 5 bands playing on the weekend. They funded there firts demo from the earnngs of a keg party and toook over the FHC from the band Betrayel, who was playing in the Bay area metal scene competing with such bands as Vio-Lence, Death Angel, and others at the Stone in San Francisco Ca. After getting there strong following and support from other bands such as Mind Bender, MSI, Dreadful Ettiquette, etc, the band became the thing in the FHC scene. Playing gigs with signed artists, haning out with and meeting and becomeing close friends to bands such as Testament, Exodus, Paul Baloff's band Pirahana, guiatrist Phill Demmel of Vio-lence now with Machine Head, Death angel, Pantera, M.O.D., etc. and playing in other cities, the band was on the way to being a band of potential and touring and being signed. They got interviewed on a national rock station from Dalls TX, ZRock, and radio commercials on Zrock with Dj's such as Crazy Mike Pain from Dallas TX. Plus television interviews on ABC Television concerning the contraversy of backward messages and the contraversy of the band Judas Priest who's song got somebody to kill themselves. The band being recognized locally and nationally things were destined for fortune. Than after the years after personal things happened to Bernie loseing his girlfriend Michelle and his now/than best friend Mike Phillips being with his than girlfriend now wife Susan which Bernie got them together, Mike and Sue chose to go Christian, and he left the band to hang out with bands such as the Crucified and others. Bernie than got Dave Moore to replace his best friend, guitarist from Mind Bender now playing in a project with Century Media's Steve Esquivel from the band Skinlab, Mike has gone and toured and appeared on an a vast arrange of cd's and tours. Mike has been succsesful with his business, marriage, and his kids.
