About me:

Decibel Festival is a non-profit, four-day annual music and arts festival held in Seattle, WA. Founded in 2003, the festival bridges the gap between technology and creativity through visual art, workshops, panel discussions and cutting-edge electronic music performances. By assembling a diverse selection of international talent, Decibel Festival provides a forum for musicians, industry professionals and educators alike. The core of the festival is comprised of several concerts and live performances presented in a variety of locations throughout Seattle's hip Capitol Hill neighborhood. In addition to these performance programs, Decibel includes a professional section featuring panels and workshops. Since its inception, Decibel has hosted over 400 acts ranging from underground dance and experimental electronic music to transmedial art. The 6th Annual Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music, Visual Art and New Media is scheduled for September 24 through September 29, 2009.

SPONSORSHIP

In 2009 Decibel Festival became a 501.c.3 organization under Shunpike, a non-profit Seattle Fiscal Sponsor and consultant for small and mid-sized community art groups. Donations made to Decibel Festival through Shunpike are tax deductible as allowed by law.

All donations made will go toward funding the 2009 edition of Decibel Festival.

You can donate to Decibel Festival through Shunpike here. Scroll down the page to "Decibel Festival".

Decibel Festivals welcomes the support of business interested in funding a community art organization. View our 2009 Sponsorship Packet (pdf) or contact a Decibel representative.

Over the past six years the Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music Performance, Visual Art and New Media has booked over 500 artists ranging from leading-edge electronic dance music to experimental multi-media performance.

With a focus on live performance, interactive multimedia art, quality sound and technology based education, Decibel has solidified itself as one of the premier electronic music festivals and promotional organizations in the world.

The 2009 edition will be taking place September 24th through the 27th and will include:
