Jason Fisher a.k.a Decimal was born and raised on the streets of Waltham Park Road Kingston 13,Jamaica,where he grew up in a house hold which consist of his father and 4 brothers,he is the second eldest of the four.He attended St. Judes Primary School in the period of September 1990-June1995 after passing the common entrance examination he moved on to Norman Manley High School in the period of September 1995 - June 2000.
During this time in high school he use to in his spare time wrote songs of the reggae genre but did not see it as a career,however in the year 2002 he had discovered more about his talent after getting the first touch of studio equipmentsand musical instruments,there he had realized that he could make beats.He began making his own beats mixing them with both reggae and hip hop sounds creating an unusual but meldeous sound,there he blend his composing skills with his new found glory of instrumentals.
He set out to embarked on a musical career,wasnt shore of his sound or flow of lyrics he began making demoes.The first demo he made was done at a small studio in the Kingston 5 area,this was the first time he was entering a recording booth.
After mastering the art of recordings he needed to get more professional in his work,so he went on to seek professional help,there he was introduce to DJ Niel by micheal(mikey squit or sqitta) the cousin of his long time school and community friend Leon Daley who Decimal share most of his childhood time with.
DJ Niel is the CO-CEO of cashflow records and soundsystem followed by DJ Extreme and and DJ Mexican, which is located in Courville Gardens in the Kingston 20 area of Jamaica.
After doing his first professional recording with the song titled"FRUSTRATED" at the cashflow studio,he was satisfied with the work that DJ Niel had done on the track his style of mixing and the way it was properly organized,from there he decidedto allowed DJ Niel to work on all his tracks.
Decimal as now completed a 16 track album all engeneered and mixed by DJ Niel which has 6 singles off the album including a video for the single"FRUSTRATED" which can be seen on youtube,that is being promoted in the streets.These singles can be listended at www.myspace.com/decimalmusic.
These singles are"TELL ME HOW YOU FEEL" which the ladies love,"ROCK YO' HIPS" that has club bang to it so it keeps the ladies moving on thier feet, "HEAVY IN THE STREETS" thats the one the high rollers like "GET QUALIFY" that teaches our younger generation to get qualied and dont waste thier lives away,"FRUSTRATED" that deals with everyday occurrences some people have to deal with and last but not least "WORK FI DONE" a song that highlights the unfare game of the Jamaican Politicians.
Since then Decimal has been performing live at clubs and kareoke spots,small parties and anywhere there is a sound system set up and all events that he can be at,hoping for that big break to come along.He has made specials for major international sound system such as Natural Vibes and jugglerssoundsation sound systems,he is also getting international exposer through these sound system and internet radio such as www.ukja-entertainment.com and www.xclusiveradio.com
