Decomvulsion were an Experimental Metal band spread between Melbourne and Traralgon
The band formed in early 2004, they recorded 2 demos and played dozens of live shows throughout west gippsland and melbourne.
Throughout the bands existence, Deco never followed any trends, and were known to break the rules of a conventional garage band music and also the rules of society.
One would have trouble comfortably fitting the band into a metal sub genre, let alone relating the band to a specific metal sub culture.
Decomvulsion made their music purely as self expression, and rarely consider the people who will listen to the music during its conception.
The band acquired a colorful reputation, including high ranking places in BOTB contests, Disqualification from competitions due to alcoholism, were banned from playing gigs run by certain promoters due to over expressive behavior, and were featured on a metal compilation in the states.
Unfortunately, the band suffered interior disfunction during song writing for thier 3rd demo cd, the bands direction was in question, which caused key band members to leave the band, eventually resulting in the bands volentary termination in late 2008.
Deco patriotically supported unsigned artists. They believed, that famous major label artists don't need the support. And so should you...
