Jae Mez has shown exceptional artistic skills from an early age. His natural abilities as a sketch artist won him first prize for his inspired portrait of his favorite rap artist Bizzy Bone in a high school art show, no doubt a sign of things to come. When Jae first started to express himself through music, his natural talents took on a life of their own. He took to making beats like Motzart on a Grande piano. Later he would pay his dues, and get his lyrical chops with the DedBeat crew out of Portland Oregon, who saw his raw skills right away, and made him a charter member of their crew. With the DedBeats, he first felt what is was like to rock a show, and get the crowd pumped. After a few shows, and a few late nights freestylin in the studio, he was hooked. He would later move to the Tacoma Wa area where he secluded himself in his apartment working day and night sharpening his skills, and perfecting his sound, as well as tearing up local rap battles. Then, in 2004, Jae along with his cousin Big Fub (a musical talent in his own right) formed Related Rhymes. The chemistry was electric from the start, and their unique sounds mixed perfectly. The first single, Capital City, was an instant Boise classic, and let people know they were the new major players on the local hip hop scene. Jae has Performed with Hip Hops most elite stars in all genres. From Tech N9ne to Bone thugs n harmony in hardcore, and Chingo Bling to NB ridaz in latino . With last years release of their self titled debut, and this years release yet to be titled (slated for oct.)album, expect big things from Jae Mez, and Related Rhymes.
