Dedication was formed in 1999 by Patrik Nyström and John Pååg as a coverband playing songs from KISS, THIN LIZZY, JUDAS PRIEST and so on.
After a few years playing the local scene in mid-Sweden, they decided it was time to take the band to the next level; Starting to write their own music.
After intensive songwriting the band decided to go into the studio to record a demo. With new singer; Per Englund (ex Massacre Records recording artist BLACKSMITH) the band went into BLACK LOUNGE STUDIOS in Avesta in December 2002 to record an eight track demo. This demo gained them a one album deal with Italian label Underground Symphony.
Dedications debut album "REFLECTIONS OF TIME" was finally released in August 2004 (featuring 2 additional tracks recorded in October 2003).
The reactions worldwide were really positive.

Dedication supported the album by playing shows all around Sweden together with acts such as DREAM EVIL, NOCTURNAL RITES, MORGANA LEFAY, WUTHERING HEIGHTS and so on.
In the summer of 2005 DEDICATION and vocalist Per Englund decided to go separate ways due to musical differences. As Patrik had already been the vocalist in the band during the "cover years" it was now a natural step for him to take over the lead vocals.
The band went into intensive writing and in early 2006 DEDICATION once again entered BLACK LOUNGE STUDIOS together with producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, KATATONIA, STEEL ATTACK, CENTINEX, CARNAL FORGE etc.) to record their new album.
In early 2007 Dedication signs with Sleaszy Rider Records. Their second album "The Enemy Within" is scheduled for a November 30 release.
