My name is Deanna DeMatteo and I am East Coast born and raised - Milford, Connecticut. Moved to Stoddard, NH for about 6 months and then moved to California in late 1970's. Been here ever since, first Hollywood, then Glendale, now Palmdale. Married/divorced twice. No SO.
My website is the Las Vegas Strip Historical Site at http://www.lvstriphistory.com. I also maintain my work's website Burbank City Employees Association - http://www.bcea3143.org.
I've opened a Myspace page quite a while back but did nothing with it. My assistant at work Eric, is addicted to this site and we would talk about it. I figured maybe I should do something with it.
The first thing I did was look up a friend that I had lost contact with a couple of years back. I sent a friend request and Richard responded which ended up with a lengthy telephone call catching up on everything going on in our lives. Nice talking with ya Richard!
I also had to look up my favorite shows - Dirty Jobs and Deadliest Catch. I then found Dirty Jobs and Captains Zig and Phil.
I also had to look up Jimmy Buffet. When I first opened my website I was getting tons of hits and lots of e-mails from Florida. When I asked about it I was told that Mr. Buffet was giving it publicity through his radio station MargaritavilleFM. At the time I only knew Mr. Buffet from Margaritaville and "The Hamburger Song". Since that time I've listened to plenty of his songs and now I'm a fan.
I've been a Jeff Dunham fan for years and have gone to all his shows at the Ice House and ones that I've been able to make in Vegas, as well as other clubs in S. California. Never wear mascara to his shows! We always laugh so hard we have to remove the run marks on our faces afterwards!
I have the Peanut doll and the talking Walter but I especially remember being at the Ice House a few years back and the waiter coming up to me saying Jeff would like to see me. I grabbed my Peanut doll and raced to meet him. He was so nice and thanked me for coming and bringing the doll and he gave me a chocolate Peanut doll which I had kept in my fridge for a few years looking at the incredible detail. Unfortunately, my fridge died and Peanut melted. It was nice to meet him and chat with him for a few minutes and I'm still buying everything he comes up with including a Peanut pin for my pin collection. Keep us laughing Jeff!
I've never seen Terry Fator live but I have been watching him on You Tube and would love to see him in the L.A. area sometime.
Feel free to join my friend list. I would love to hear from you.
Now I'm trying to work with my site. New computer with VISTA and VISTA doesn't get along with any of the programs I use so its been an ongoing fight since 1/07!.
