DJ Dave's Interests
General
Listening to music, railroad photography and collecting railroad memorbilia, and reading. Going to my sons games.
Music
I like most everything. You have too! Country artists I listen too most often: Sawyer Brown, Restless Heart, Little Texas, and Pirates of The Mississippi. Old School Bands that can give these new guys a run for the money. Rock: Rolling Stones(the first band I discovered at 9 years of age), AC/DC, Van Halen(with Dave and Sammy), Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, Dio, Black Sabbath(with Dio), Rainbow(with every singer Ritchie Had). I could go on. There is a lot but the ones I mentioned are just some of the faves.
James Bond Movies Are my faves. Any of the Marvel Movies like Spider Man, Daredevil, Fantastic Four. Any of the old 3 Stooges Shorts. Any good outragous comedeys.
Television
I'm a sports guy, so ESPN, NFL Network, and the Big 10 Network are on. The TV is DEFINATELY ON when the Hawkeyes and Bears are on.
Books
The Iowa Railfan Guide(LOL), The Hogger, Monster of The Midway, and Never Die Easy. The latter two are essential for Chicago Bears fans.
Heroes
My parents definately. Sports: Walter Payton(RIP). Music: Thats a tough one. There is so many musicains that I like both in country and rock.
About me: My company D&J Productions has been deejaying weddings and parties across Iowa since 1991. Since 1999 I've been based in Central Iowa. I currently live in Grimes, which has a small town feel but it's growing (hey we're getting a Sprawl Mart in 2009). D&J Productions can do just about any event. I've done quite a few awesome events in 16 years.
I also deejay at Miss Kittys Dancehall every Wednesday night and every other Friday night for Happy Hour. If you love country, I play a TON of it, old and new, so stop on by for a visit.
When I'm not deejaying, I have a regular full time job that I work at, and also play the role of a dad to my son Garrett. A great kid indeed.
From time to time, I'll post a blog on here, and tell you some things about whats going on, and post my opinions. They will be truthful and honest.
If intrested, give me a call at 515-971-8569 or drop me an e-mail at dnjpro104@aol.com. Watch this MySpace page for upcoming public shows. Thanks for checking me out!
Who I'd like to meet: Someone who has a great personality and good looks.
