"The musician may sing to you of the rhythm which is all in space, but he cannot give you the ear which arrests the rhythm, nor the voice that echos it" THE PROPHET By Kahlil Gibran.
In 2007 I co wrote and also produced a track for Ricki Lee called 'World go by' which is on Ricki's latest album 'Brand new day', it was released in Australia in August and will also be released in Japan January this year as well as being released via Ministry of sound for the European market including the UK. I have two songs on the 'Just girls' album- it went to Number one in Portugal in December.
My recent endevours include writing with many up and coming artistes and new signings including- Emily Baker, Joe Janiak, Hasdif Huld, Marhia (Germany) Sinead Quinn, Alice Shaw, Ben Parker (Ben and Jason), Booty Luv and Adam Argyle. This year I have songs released or being released in Germany, Japan, Portugal, Netherlands, Uk and Australia. I'm also writing a lot of lyric and top line for several dance producers as well as creating a few dance productions myself.
I am currently producing Billie Myers new album.
I have written with some great producers/Writers including, sis Hulbert (Studio B) Peter Ries, Gary Kemp, Steve Lee, Vince Degeorgio, Henrik Korpi, Alex Geringas, Ron Lopata, Jason Nevins and Hawk eye.
I've had cuts with Lene Nystrom, Hearsay, No Angels (Germany) and numerous releases via KYR records whilst being signed to BMG Publishing. I have also done production for the BBC and Jaimeson's last album.
I am now signed to Peer Music after 5 years with BMG Publishing.
.
My writing styles cover many genres from alternative country to Hip hop /Rap, Acoustic and Pop. I thrive on great lyrics and generally get pulled into projects for my lyrical input and left of centre song ideas . As a writer and not an artiste it's pretty cool to be able to write in different styles depending on the project. Most of all I enjoy writing Singer/ Songwriter type tunes with a twist, but I'm also partial to be bit of quirky pop and trip hop production. My singing voice is awful! but it works well enough for me to write a decent melody, my songs are written for other people to sing- thank the lord!!
As well as writing with many established artistes I am very proud to be working with what I consider to be the 'hidden talents' of the UK, many of the projects are yet to be, or, about to signed and I strongly recommend that you check out some of the original and up and coming artistes that are helping me keep the faith and stay sane- lol!
I despise brussel sprouts, coffee and the easy option. In general I'm a bit of a geek, especially when it comes to studio gadgets. I am passionate about music and spend most of my time making music or being cheeky!
Musical influences, liikes etc....
Shelby Lynne, Ray Lamontagne, Cat Power Radiohead, Sarah Mclauchlan, Fleetwood Mac, Damien Rice, Bonnie Raite, The Thrills, Emy Lou Harris, Damien Rice, The Kooks, The sounds, Rufus Wainwright, Tom Baxter, Snow patrol, Emmy Lou Harris, kate Bush, Cocteau twins, Zero 7, The Doors, Coldplay, Janis Joplin, U2, Nightmares on wax, Massive attack, Dolly Parton, John Mayer, Patsy Cline, Portishead, The Pretenders, Missy Elliot, Jeff Buckley, Olivia Newton John- honestly! 'Emily Baker’s performance that pulled the heartiest crowd. Dubbed Brighton’s most sought-after female artist, this girl and her guitar captured the stage well. A skilled musician with lyrics rolling from the heart and strung together with nifty eccentricities, her music had an appealing honesty.'
wind up your waistline....check out da master mix - loving the basement big style. now back away from the lip gloss and lets write another... hehe see you on the 5th old bean xx
