This 1/2 hour kids show empowers children with positive self-esteem, by teaching them about the world and their importance within it . Four young wizards from the Whimsical Woods go on adventures to the human world where they meet inspiring real life people who teach them about the world we live in. During each journey, one of the Kids faces a difficulty that causes her to give up, but her friends encourage her to believe in herself and she succeeds. Throughout the show, the Kids sing and dance and interact with all sorts of magical creatures.

I've been influenced by a lot of musicians throughout my life but funny enough, it is people who influence me more than anything! My husband Michael is a very strong, beautiful soul. He is a fabulous drummer and a professional coach and paintball player and we have two children, Taylor and Devin. Both our kids are very musical! Taylor loves to sing and write songs and Devin loves to dance and play the drums.
I was born and raised in a little town called Port Washington in New York. I spent a lot of time growing up in theatre with my friends and my fondest memories of childhood are traveling to Europe with my school choir.
I started writing songs when I was thirteen years old and later I received a BFA in Theatre Arts from Hofstra University. Years of acting translated over very well to helping me with my live performances. I learned that if you don't feel anything on the stage....the audience won't either!
I have written so many songs and as many writers do, in my earlier years I got selfish with them and decided that I was the only one who should perform them. It much later dawned on me that I could support myself by selling songs. Wow, what a concept! At that point, a music supervisor named Toni Scuddelari, now the head of Music Supervision at Sony, heard my songs and started placing them in shows like, Dawson's Creek, Joan of Arcadia, Party of Five, Strong Medicine and Beautiful People.
I recently placed a few of my songs in some major motion pictures and I look forward to writing more for the screen. I have a cameo role in a very funny comedy called, Benny Bliss that will be out within the year. I play the part of a Joan Baez type peace freak who hates computers and cell phones and I sing a song called, "Take Your Ram and Ram it." I wrote it on the set while waiting for my scene and the director and cast loved it. That will be my third song in a movie this year!
I've written many songs with up and coming artists to help them get their albums off the ground. I've taught songwriting seminars privately and at USC and I have written a songwriter's manual called, "Ten Easy Steps To Writing A Song." I have three solo albums and an album with my band Size 7 Hat. I'm working on a few musicals at the moment. One is based on the true life of a holocaust survivor called, "No Time to Weep" and the other is an absolutely hillarious one woman show I am writing with Janet Cole Valdez called, "Adonis"
