NOT THAT I'M PARTIAL OR ANYTHING. (DEE GRINNING MADLY)
Dee grew up the second youngest of five children in a busy home in Canada. Dee's earliest memory is that of her dad making a song up on the spot about his Dee Dee Diana. The house was always full of music and Dee gained an early appreciation for all genres of music, from the heavy influence of the songs her mum would sing, to her dads love of Glenn Miller and the Big Band Era. From a very early age, Dee would memorize lyrics, mimic phrasing, pitch and tone with great precision.
As a natural progression, she began to be influenced by the musical tastes of her siblings and especially the classic rock of Led Zepplin and the timeless folk music of Joni Mitchell. At age 18, Dee bought her first guitar and enlisted the help of a boyfriend to teach her how to play. At the same time she began to take piano lessons to expand her knowledge of music. An overwhelming shyness and insecurity prevented her from performing at this point in her life. Her musical pursuits were interrupted briefly by raising a family, two very musical and athletic boys, and a difficult divorce. It was only then that Dee discovered the strength to overcome her fears and never allow anything or anyone to steal her dreams again.
With her newfound confidence and stage fright a shadow of the past, her return to music came in the unlikely role as a tribute artist, performing as country artist Faith Hill. Her impressive vocal range and dramatic stage presence made the show a success but Dee tired of the limitations of performing covers and longed to sing her own songs. She then made the decision to concentrate solely on her own song writing and telling her own stories in her own voice.
Dee feels that there are more opportunities now in the music world than ever before. Her greatest vocal weapon is her ability to melt her listeners heart with the sexy, longing in her voice and this something she loves to thrill her audience with. She says...~I intend to kick down every door of conventional thinking when it comes to music. No one has the right to say who should be performing it, what it should sound like. I want to give music fans what they want to hear, not what big business tells us they want to hear. Fans today are smart, if they like it, they will come see you; they will listen to you, download it, and buy it. I want the smart fans, the ones who get me, can relate to me, the ones who can make their own decisions. They are the ones that will be there for life!

Hi Dee, I hope you're well. I needed a dose of your music and so I dropped in..Listening to "Just push send" :-)
I wanted to let you know about my latest project.
“Turning Wine into Water” I have created an Album of music made entirely from Wine related objects. I am donating all proceeds to get a Water Well dug in Ethiopia.
I am determined to make the Well a reality. They are installed by some inspirational non profit people called wellwishers.
For the price of a glass of wine, your download will help create a Well.
To find out more and download the “Wine into Water” Music go to www.winemusic.biz
There is water just metres underground but there is no way of villagers getting to it without the resources. As a result, people are dying from water contamination. The wells can only be built by blasting through many metres of rock If I get 1000 downloads, they get a well built. Each Well helps 650 people.
We're 15% of the way there thanks to you all digging deep.
Dee, I hope that all is well with you and your family. I'm just stopping by to say "Hi" and send you my love and well wishes. Take care, stay safe, and have a wonderful weekend beautiful lady !
