My hip hop inspirations are Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Lauryn Hill, Jay-Z, The Fugees, T.I., Black Eyed Peas, and Kanye West.
DEEJAY YOUNG -
Deejay Young is a freshly talented 18 year old college freshman at Florida A&M University. With a major in English and minor in Theatre Performance, Young is globally on top of his performance skills, and adores the presence of the stage. He was born and raised in Tampa, FL and has always had a passion for music and singing. He has been singing since the age of 3, and touring since age 5, starring in the gospel-theatrical stage play, "Daddy Please Don't Leave", with a local gospel singing group. Since then, Young has developed a strong desire for performing and music to which his style reflects that of a Hip-Hop and R&B soul vibe. However, he crosses boundaries of all genres of singing and artistry. Some of his influences include Billie Holiday, Beyonce, Luther Vandross, Usher, and Chrisette Michele. To Deejay Young, Music is life, and his dream is to become a professional, world-renown, top-notch entertainer. -“I just want a chance to share my music with the world and touch them through my music by writing all of my lyrics, and living my life through my music.
