General
I am a film nutter and will try any film once, but can't help but pick them apart. I love being active but can't be bothered doing it. Love being around friends and just having fun. Creating things and looking back in awe at how the mind works entirely seperately to the memory. Love rocking out to 50's, 60's and early nineties Club Classics, mainly on my own but sometimes with company. Playing Lacrosse, i have represented the state at under 17 level and been chosen in the All-Australian team based on performance throughout the championships. Soccer / Football. Man U all the way!!! Karaoke!!! Sad I know but give me a cheeseball song and a mic and im in paradise.
Music
Rather eclectic. Lyrics and meaning and soul play the biggest part in the music that i choose to listen to. I like music that touches me. Music has the ability to reach emotions that no other media can. I'm not easily influenced by what is popular but am open to suggestion. Of course that is then negated by the fact i also love trance and some hip hop. But why can't "popping caps " and "f**cking bitches" touch you in some way
Movies
Hard to put a finger on my favourite movie. I guess Fight Club, Se7en and American History X for the way they opened my eyes and moved me. Snatch, Any Given Sunday, Donnie Darko and Lost in Translation for the directorial style and bold storylines and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, GO! and Bad Boys for the comedic value. Never been one for the word "GENRE" instead like to judge on individual merit.
Television
Not a big fan of television and will tend to forego for a good movie. If i had to choose I would say The Office (English Version). Funniest program I have ever seen.
Books
Are catalogues books??? Just finished Absurdistan and Dude where's my country. Good stuff!!!
Heroes
My mum!!! Tirelessly toiled and fought to raise her three kids, foregoing everything she wanted for herself in return for giving us everything we needed. She has always been there when i needed her and has never stopped trying for us despite the fact we can be massive shitheads.
Also Incy Wincy Spider. That little brave bastard just never gives up.
About me: The name is Simon or Simmo or Si or just S. I am a 25 year old male from Adelaide, South Australia. Just got back from the UK after three months. I run a small production company with a friend specialising in Web and Graphic Design and more recently Short Film making. I have been involved in writing feature films and am currently still trying to work out what life has in store for me.
I like to think that I'm quite a funny person and i reinforce my opinion every day with self indulgent praise. I love just relaxing and having long lengthy chats about anything, sometimes even with other people. Don't particularly like taking life too seriously. I tend to 'feel' things a little more than is probably healthy. Other than that I will leave the rest of me to the people who know me, not the entire internet population.
I want to find what defines me. Whether i will or not remains to be seen but i feel that the beginning of the pursuit of this definition may in fact be the defining moment in my life. The point that i decided i was not fit for mediocrity may ultimately be the most significant event in my life.
