    This page is a work in progress......With that said, I picked up my turntables and started DJing around the same time I started B-boying. It's been almost 5 years now since I started and I have made alot of progress but I'm not done growing and learning new skills. Origin of my DJ name: I started with DJR because my old roomate scott used to call me that....My first name is J.R. which is how he came to call me DJR (combo of DJ and JR for anyone slow on the uptake), Then I decided to change it cause I thought DJR would be a pain to explain to people what it meant everytime they find out my DJ name, so that led me to Deckspression which I thought would be a cool name but then I figured it would be to big for people to remember. On to my current name, one of my best friends was dating this girl and she gave me a hat for my birthday that said Simple on it. She said the reason she got it was cause she thought that I was a very simple person in that I don't make life complicated, I just live it. So my name doesn't describe my DJ style but it actually represents my personality. So if you want to know a little bit about me, just know that I am Simple. I don't start drama and I don't like drama. Life is only difficult if you make it difficult. Sure there are tough times but don't make a mountain out of a mole hill and when there is a mountain in the way, do what you gotta do to get past it....even if that means going thru it! .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

    My mom (she is the pillar on which I stand, it is because of her I will not fall), Brian A.K.A-Sodium Free (a big influence on me as a DJ), DJ Colors (a big influence on me as a turntablist), people i met while in Drum N' Bugle corps(97 Golden Lancers, 98 Cincinnati Glory), people from marching band(yes I was in marching band, played the drums), DJ Zaccari (a big musical influence for me back in high school), Cindy Guerra (my inspiration to work harder and keep pushing the boundaries of my abilities), Lil Dave, Kalani, Ruben, and my extended Mixplate Ohana (I miss all of you), My B-Lo peoples in the hip hop scene. My B-Lo crew DFC Shane, Ryan, Solomon, Aaron, T.J.....I'll be adding more to this list!
