About DJ Style

Ich wuchs wenig musikalisch auf und hatte auch irgendwie keine Lust auf Instrumente. Das sollte sich aber ändern als ‘89 die Wende kam und Reformen auch an unserer Schule eingeführt wurden. Einer der Lehrer arbeitete damals beim freien Jugendsender “Radio T” und hatte das Project Schulfunk ins Leben gerufen. Ab sofort gab es in den Pausen Musik und mehr oder weniger wichtige Textbeiträge. Und ich war von Anfang an dabei. Schnell war eine recht große Musiksammlung zusammengekommen und das Programm war sehr abwechslungsreich. 1994 war meine Schulzeit nun endgültig vorbei und ich begann ein Lehre. Doch da war noch das inzwischen leicht angestaubte Musikarchiv. Irgendwie war es schade das die vielen CD’s, Kassetten und inzwischen auch Vinyle einfach so in der Ecke standen. Also faßte ich nach ca. einem Jahr den Entschluß mich in einem Jugendclub in der Nähe als DJ zu bewerben. Und siehe da es hat geklappt. Und schon war auch ein Name für mich gefunden worden - DJ Style. Mit erreichen des 18. Lebensjahres wagte ich mich in die erste richtige Disco und stellte mich als DJ vor. Ich überzeugte den Chef und das Publikum und legte von jetzt an als DJ Style in der Disco Riu Palace im Chemnitzer Vita Center auf. Ab da ging es dann aufwärts. Weitere Bookings in anderen Disco's folgten. 2000 kam dann eine erneute Wende. Die Bookings wurden immer mehr und zwei Job's waren nicht mehr zu schaffen. Also entschied ich mich mein Hobby zum Hauptberuf zu machen. Und das mache ich immer noch erfolgreich!
