This is an introduction about how I got started and what I am doing now.
How I got started:
I was always into music from a young age and good at sports. I used to put my mums vinyl on and chat over the Reggae instrumentals and then I got into small Reggae sound systems and then in my mid teens started doing festivals and small carnivals.
I got a residency at South East Londons biggest under 18's called Bassology that was the first time I MC'd for Nicky Blackmarket. Back in my teens I used to hang around with MC Fat Man D and he was the one who said I should rap. It wasn't until a few years later that I felt confident enough and built my rapping skills. After Bassology and a few other events I started doing pirate radio stations where I worked with people like Stevie A, Spidey G, D White & MC Bouncer.
Through radio, a band called Three Bean & Salad, got to hear me and they knew some friends of mine and asked them if I would be intrested in joining the band. I said yeah and then they put me on the flyer as a special guest and I came on at the end. From then I became a part of the band! Before I joined the band, they had previously been together for around 3 years. Then I met a guy called MC Five, he joinded the band aswell and from then on we were known as Three Bean & Salad & Two Brothers Bad. We played in and out of London but as they say, all good things come to an end and the band split, People were getting old and wanted different things.
From there I got a residency at club Labyrinth Hackney E8, where I played with people such as DJ Krome, Food Junkie, Nicky Blackmarket, Kenny Ken, Stingray, MC Mistry & Supplier. It was then I started flying out to such places as Guernsey to perform.
How I started to perform at the Notting Hill Carnival:
Before I started doing Labyrinth, I used to go Notting Hill Carnival and there was a sound called Confusion Sound St Lukes Road. For a couple of years when I attended, I used to ask to go on the Mic. They always said No!
Then one night, one of the guys attended Labyrinth and said, if I am at carnival this year to come and see him. So turned I up and they did let me go on the mic and thats how I became part of Confusion Sound.
As well as MCing at One Nation, I was doing a stand at all saints road. And from there I started getting bookings for UK Garage where I was playing in Hastings & Milton Keynes. Round about 1999 I got my first Garage residency at The Gass Club/Cum Taste Da Honey In Leicester Square. As well as doing Garage at other venues. After A Year or so they stopped doing Cum Taste Da Honey and thats when I decided to go to Ibiza. Within in the first week of arriving there I landed a residency with Twice As Nice.
I also began hosting nights at SOUL CITY doing R&B. It wasn't until the next year that things really came together. I was doing De Ja Vu/Helter Skelter, Garage Heaven and R&B Heaven & SOUL CITY. I was also flying to Magaluf once a week to do events there. Now I do the Ibiza reunion every year at Skegness.
How I started Playing in Germany:
One day I had an unexpected call from MC Supplier asking if I would like to come and MC in Germany? For an event called Remininisence, obviously I jumped at the chance! Within a few weeks we was flying out and thats where I met people such as Christian Biel, MC Temper, DJ Kaylab & MC Motion and MC Little Monk.
It was a really good event! I flew out with Baby Cee AKA Candice Mackenzie. Then a few months later the phone rang, it was Christian Biel asking wether I'd like to come and play again? I said yes and.
About 2 1/2 years later I met Dirk Schieman. From there I started doing events like Kings Of The Jungle, and aswell as one nation London I started doing One Nation in Germany and other large events such as Nature One.
How I Started making Tracks:
I started doing tracks years ago but nothing was released untill I started making them in germany.
I started in Manheim. From there I was MCing for 2 guys called Jochen & Torsten and it was Jochen who introduced me to the Wet Panty Lovers. They produced the track called Clap Your Hands and the lyrics were wrote by me and the panty lovers.
It sat on the shelf for about a year and a half. Then through Baby Cee I met a guy called DJ Tee Delight and he decided to sign the track to his label Lunacy Records.
From there I teamed up with some guys called Goldfish & The Derdulz and we did a track called Rebel Man. For those who dont know the lyrics were once again wrote by myself and Goldfish & Derdulz. As well as that I am doing Garage events with DJ Kaylab and MC Motion. We are known as LIVELY IRIE and the name is becoming more and more recognised in germany and London. I preformed at Garage events like, Ruff But Tuff and Vibration in germany and other projecTS.
Apart from music projects I am working on:
I have just finished doing a extras work in a film called Life 'n' lyrics and have been doing alot of urban picture shoots.
There is so much I can tell you but I am trying to keep it as short as possible. As well as other artists I am working with Busty & Flow we have just done a track called Soul Food and DJ phax part of a world peace project.
