The early stages were formed in 1998, but things do change and with the current line-up, things have been excellent for the band in 2005, and 2006 looks even brighter!
They are constantly touring, working with Jagermeister, Coffin Case, Halo Guitars, Johnny Jackson (Texas Body Art), and various Texas metal bands, and making a scene for themselves.
Deep 6 has been privileged to have played with these bands: Kittie, Otep, Crisis, Scum of the Earth, Dead by Wednesday, Obituary, A Dozen Furies, Regiment, Till We Die, Winds of Plague, Eyes of the Betrayer, Irene, Full Circle, Burnt Face Jack, Abasia as well as some great local bands.
Deep 6's sound is very unique. They have a wide variety of influences, that fuse together to make up such an incredible band. Melodic, intense, diverse, dark, driving, deep, powerful, these are just a few words to decribe it. You just have to experience it for yourself. The band doesn't sit around and try to sound like everything else that's out there. Sometimes you have to stand back, alone and unaware of your surroundings, to create something beautiful.
Krystal's vocals are intense, she turns heads every time. She also has a custom 5 string guitar tuning, Yes 5 not 6 (if you look closely at the pictures, you'll see!) This allows for a unique tone, and distinctive guitar presence. Bobby's bass is powerful and innovative, he creates a sound that is all his own. We also have our origianl drummer Matt playing with us. All hell will break loose.
