    Deep Black Sees are an Italian progressive rock band, hailing from the hilly heart of Sicily. Their furious venture started in 2003 at the early age of 13 years old, with a good helping of music in their cradle and rock in their blood. The lineup has never changed and remains the same today. This rock hotchpotch developed and took the shape of "Hypocrisy" (2008),their first EP self-produced and printed in a limited edition which sold out immediately. In 2009 they were contacted by one of the most influential American independent record companies, 272 Records (Hollywood), with which the band signed for their first single,Hypocrisy, in the Kill City Vol.18 metal compilation. After months of composition and touring, the idea of recording the band's first ever official album began to be more than real when well known Grammy nominated American record producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, R.E.M, Johnny Cash, System of A Down) hooked up with the band and decided to produce the record. In October 2010 the band then travelled to California's RadioStar Studios. A month of intense arranging and recording led to the actual album Inside Outside, mastered at Kitchen Mastering (Carrboro, NC). While recording, the Deep Black Sees performed several shows around California, with amazing feedback from the audience. Since February 2011 they have been officially signed by the experienced UK label Rising Records which will release their new album Inside Outside, out on the 27th of June and available worldwide (Plastichead/Cargo/Audioglobe).     Vanexa were one of the first Italian heavy metal band, their self-titled LP was consecrated by the national press as the first italian heavy metal album. Born in Savona in 1978, their sound was typically Anglo-Saxon evidence abroad where they were cited by several magazines as proponents of the new wave of heavy metal
    band from late '70s early '80s. They also participated as a headliner at the first heavy metal festival held in Certaldo Italian in Florence May 21, 1983. In their careers have also participated in various compilations including metal of Metal Mountain, exit the United States, with the song "Hanged Man" and Metal Italy with the song "It's Over". In 2007 a CD reissue of their eponymous debut album with 3 bonus tracks and unreleased second album "Back From The Ruins" with 5 bonus tracks taken from a live concert of 1984 was released in 2010 is out "1979-80" a compilation of early material ( totally sung in italian) released on vynil and cd supports. We needed a new fresh band with a new fresh sound. VANEXA spearheaded what was termed 'the new wave of heavy metal'. They were a more than welcome addition of the italian hard rock/metal scene. Yet, this debut offering offers more energy and speed than actual accomplishment. In 1983 VANEXA released their self-titled debut album, starting what would become a legendary career for the band. They were one of many promising bands in the New Wave of Heavy Metal movement at the time. Following the success of Vanexa, the band released released their second album Back From The Ruins in 1988. The album featured fan-favourites "Midnight Wolves", "Creation", "Hanged Man". This new album contained many tracks that had been written prior to the release of the debut album, but were considered surplus. With songs already shaped on the road well in advance, only two new tracks were written for the album; Hanged Man and Creation. The band adopted a different approach for their 1994 studio album, titled Against The Sun. This was not a concept album, though it was themed loosely around the idea of social problems. It featured, for the first time in the band's history, synthesized Keyboards and guitars sounds to add textures and layers to the sound. Though considered different from the norm of Vanexa sounds, it a good response across the world, especially for new incredible voice of Roberto TIRANTI. The VANEXA lyrics contains literature quotes about famous books/movies or social problems fusioned in great heavy metal sound.

L’album attuale “Inside Outside” è uscito a metà del 2011 con la label inglese Rising Records (PHD/Audioglobe) e ha subito ricevuto ottime critiche internazionali che paragonano i DBS ad artisti del calibro di Porcupine Tree o Opeth ed attestano al gruppo un “debutto eccellente” (Sonic Abuse, UK) e un “grandioso futuro” (Rocktimes, D). La loro furiosa ventura ha inizio nel 2003, quando i componenti della band avevano solo 13 anni, aiutati da una buona dose di musica nelle loro teste e rock nel sangue. Da quel momento la line-up del gruppo non è mai cambiata e rimane la stessa tuttora. Ben presto questo “calderone rockeggiante” si sviluppa e prende le sembianze di “Hypocrisy”(2008), il loro primo EP autoprodotto e stampato in un numero limitato di copie , esaurite in un breve intervallo di tempo. Nel 2009 sono contattati da una delle più influenti label indipendenti Americane, la 272 Records di Hollywood, con la quale la band prende accordi per l’uscita del loro primo singolo, “Hypocrisy” (dall’omonimo EP), nella compilation metal Kill City Vol.18. Dopo diversi mesi di concerti in giro per l’Italia, in seguito ad una composizione musicale continua e consistente, l’idea di registrare il primo disco ufficiale della band diviene più che reale allorquando la Grammy-nominata Sylvia Massy, produttrice americana di fama mondiale (tra i tanti: Tool , Johnny Cash, R.E.M, System of a Down), sposa il progetto del gruppo e decide di produrre l’album. Così, nell’ottobre del 2010, i Deep Black Sees si recano in California, presso i RadioStar Studios. Un mese intenso di arrangiamenti e registrazioni portano finalmente alla luce l’album “Inside Outside” (il master è stato realizzato presso il “Kitchen Mastering” , Carrboro, NC). Durante la produzione dell’album i Deep Black Sees suonano in lungo e in largo in California, ottenendo ottimi feedback di ritorno dal pubblico. A partire da Febbraio del 2011 i DBS sono sotto contratto discografico con la label inglese Rising Records, per mezzo della quale, dal 27 Giugno 2011, il nuovo album “Inside Outside” è disponibile in tutto il mondo in formato fisico e digitale ( Plastichead/Cargo/Audioglobe ).
