About me:

I live between Seattle and Odessa, Eastern Washington State and Sweden (Stockholm, Vasteras, Tarendo, Norrland). I have residences in all three places. My Father's Parents were from Scotland and my Mum's from Liverpool, England and Eastern Europe by way of Germany. I was nearly born in Vancouver, British Columbia but my family moved to Seattle shortly before. I have been collecting records since I was a kid and have DJ'd in Paris, Prague (Praha 7 Letna, Wakata na Malirska 14, Czech Republic CZ or Ceska Republika) and all over Washington State (Seattle). I grew up between Seattle, Ketchum (Sun Valley) Idaho and Vancouver, B.C. I love the high desert where I now reside. I have played the drums and sang in many bands and have recorded and toured Internationally in Czech Republic, Germany, Austria and Switzerland with Ivan Kral(Patti Smith Group, Iggy Pop, Blondie, John Cale of Velvet Underground)and on my own. We were one of the first bands to play at the Jimi Hendrix Museum which is now known as EMP (Experience Music Project)in Seattle at Bumbershoot. I appear in the second part of the movie "Blank Generation" which was a film by Ivan Kral that he made about the 70's early Punk scene in New York at CBGB's. The film features: Patti Smith, Johnny Thunders and The New York Dolls, Richard Hell & Television, Blondie, The Ramones, The Heartbreakers, David Byrne and the Talking Heads, Wayne County, Iggy Pop etc... I am in the second half of the film that tells about Ivan's group "Native" which was filmed when we were on tour in Czech Republic. Most recently, I played with Gary Thorstensen guitarist for the Grunge Band "Tad", they toured with Nirvana and Soudngarden in case you don't know who the are. The band was called "Summerland" later changed to "Apollo Stars" and featured Patrick Conner (brother of Screaming Trees, Van and Gary) on vocals for a spell before I took over the lead. I have also played in a SKA band with former members of Tiny Hat Orchestra and we opened for The Skatalites and Desmond Dekker. I have owned Vespa scooters since the early 80's and was involved in the Seattle Mod Scene heavily during the Ska Revival years. I played in a number of Rock bands locally during the Grunge Era and into this century and shared a practice space with Alice In Chains, members of Pearl Jam and many others. I am interested in forming another group. I have my own Wedding and Party DJ business business servicing the Seattle ( I recently expanded to include all of Eastern Washington inluding: Spokane, Chelan, Wenatchee, Union Gap, Zilla, Yakima, Tri-Cities, Ellensburg, Wilbur, Odessa, Almira, Wilson Creek, Harrington, Davenport, Creston, Ritzville, Lincoln County, Grant County, Adams County, Kittitas County, Pasco, Kennewick, Richland, Goldendale, Pullman and more! I still use REAL TECHNICS TURNTABLES (Record Players) as well as cd's. I will tailor the music for your event. I specialize in everything from Acid Jazz/Soul/Funk, Down Tempo/House/Disco to Punk, Rock, Country, Reggae and Ska. If anyone needs an excellent DJ, just give me a shout! I have lived abroad or spent extended periods of time in: Prague, Czech Republic, Sweden, Morayshire, Lossiemouth, Elgin, Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Scotland, Canada, Amsterdam, Holland, Italy, Denmark, Ibiza, Spain, Paris, France, London, England, Germany, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Finland, Belgium, Slovenia.

Everyone with a smile. People who promote peace. Individuals with integrity, hope and a sense of humor. Especially those who understand my jokes (the whole of Scotland thus far)... Those who love to dance and sing and are not afraid to do a handstand in public. Other Artists, DJ's, Record Collectors, Musicians interested in starting a Psych/Rock/Folk band in the Seattle or Eastern Washington area. I'm only in Sweden for a couple of months a year otherwise, I would enjoy playing in a band there. I would really like to organize another SKA band if anybody knows some horn players that would be into it, just email me.
