Even nowadays the music of Deep Purple is still powerful and fascinating. They have set musical milestones with their unique mixture of classic and rock. "Child In Time", "Black Night", "Woman From Tokyo", "Perfect Strangers", and of course "Smoke On The Water" are songs made for eternity.
Demon's Eye is the undisputed No. 1 Deep Purple Tribute Band in Europe. Demon's Eye are creating a furore with their powerful show, bringing up memories of this hardrock-flagship's most creative times in the seventies. In February 2007 Deep Purple's Ian Paice guested on drums on a couple of gigs in Holland, Germany and Austria. Ian Paice: "When I get the chance to play with other musicians and I don't know them, I take a chance. If they're good, it makes my job very easy. If they're not so good, it makes my job very difficult. With Demon's Eye, it's incredibly easy. These guys are really fantastic! They know excactly what they do."
Even Deep Purple bassplayer Roger Glover is astonished at Demon's Eye and wrote the following lines to the boys in the band: "I listened to your CD 'ALIVE' and I was amazed. Your tunes sound uncannily true to the original. Well done! You have the right to be proud. Good luck, Roger Glover, December 2005."
There is a good reason for Demon's Eye not to call themselves a "Cover-Band" but to choose the suffix "Tribute-Band" instead. Deep Purple's compositions leave enough room for improvisation, which the five guys of Demon's Eye use wherever they can. It would be too easy to simply call Demon's Eye a pure Cover-Band. Demon's Eye is not just imitating Deep Purple but the five musicians are integrating their own ideas into the songs, of course suitable for the character of the original Deep Purple-style. Demon's Eye's intention is to make each concert a unique event for the audience.

wahnsinns auftritt gestern abend im gulfhaus...klang wie deep purple in den 70ern und hatte dabei sehr viel eigenen charakter...eine kleine offenbahrung.
