A magician from the dark ages teleported to Philadelphia in the 21st century, learned how to rap, returned to his time, and went on a pilgrimage to battle dragons (lyrically).
---The Mechanical Minds are a group of musicians hailing from the Philadelphia region of the Gray Zone... - As many know, the Gray Zone is one of the most difficult areas to earn an Artist's License. To some, it may appear as if The Mechanical Minds are new arrivals to the world of music, when in fact, they have been playing together in underground bars and clubs for years. In spite of the lawlessness of the Gray Zone, and the harsh government, The Mechanical Minds were granted Free Speech Immunity as part of their license. And they intend to use it!
---The Mechanical Minds are politically driven and socially intelligent, using their songs as a canvas to inspire others. The music is about dance, rhythm, and revolution. While most people see the post-21st Century era as the culmination of human achievement, The Mechanical Minds are quick to remind us that the brightest lights leave the deepest shadows. Common themes in their music involve the dangers of personality encryptions, corruption behind government and economic forces, and the importance of free thinking. Their music serves as a reminder that the 22nd Century, for all it's differences, is very much the same as the 21st.
The Mechanical Minds were started by guitar player Vince "The Rocket Scientist." Vince was originally born in the Eastern Blue Zone. He attended school for engineering, and eventually landed a job with the American Aeronomics Conservatory. After his first year as a junior scientist, he was assigned to a Gray Zone helicopter manufacturing facility, where he worked as a quality control specialist. After years of observing crooked politics, Vince felt it necessary to leave his career to pursue something more honest and fulfilling.
Storyville was born and raised in the Gray Zone along with friend and fellow band member Russel Tate. It was at a show in a local bar where Vince met Story and Russel for the first time...
