Se inclinó por la música electrónica debido a la influencia de producciones del label Tribal America (I.R.S. records) y por los sets de la serie de releases de Global Underground, Nubreed y Renaissence. Para octubre del año 2003 toca por primera vez en el Bar Lubnam, para la fiesta de un amigo junto con los DJs nacionales Erick Prestinary, Felix del Barco y Aaron Wells, iniciando así su carrera como DJ.

A partir de noviembre, empieza una residencia en el Bar Café 83 Sur. Desde entonces y hasta noviembre del 2004, comparte sus sesiones con diferentes DJs nacionales como DJ Ares, Eric Prestinary, Aarón wells, Lippa y DJ Monik, incluyendo el DJ canadiense Jasón Osbourne, que estuvo de visita en Costa Rica debido al impacto del huracán que azotó la Isla Gran Caimán, en la cual residía. Durante este tiempo, comparte escenario con DJs de estilos y géneros musicales diferentes lo cual le permite ampliar perspectivas y pulir su estilo.

Desde entonces depura su selección musical dentro del género Progressive y el Techno. Para el año 2004, participa en varias fiestas en el club Vértigo, abriéndo sesiones a diferentes DJs. ha tocado junto a Mark Pappas y John Creamer. Actualmente forma parte del colectivo D.U.B. deep underground beats, junto con Dj Monik, Dj Ares, Y Dj Lippa, presentando sus sets que van desde el progressive house, pasando por tech-house, hasta el techno.

DJ Monik :
Born 24 years ago, and with a short trajectory, but breaking the mold, DJ Monik is forever polishing her skills to become the best female DJ in Latin America.

Her base influence in getting involved in music from her childhood was her father, who was a musician. Later, that same vocation what was drove Monik to percussion and guitar. When she was 17, she went for her first time to a “RAVE” party where the headliners were Jimmy Van M and DJ Sasha. The latter was her favorite and years after became her inspiration.
.
During that same year, she starts working in one of the most important radio stations in Costa Rica, 979 Conexion, where the first electronic music show in the country was broadcasted. Later, she ended up taking over the whole show.
.
In 2003 she received her first set of DJ equipment that saw this DJ grow with a genre called progressive trance.. very much like Oakenfold and Alexander Coe’s style. Monik’s metamorphosis took several years, changing styles, and sounds. She has also worked with production. Her genre was drum ‘n bass, with the percussion she always carried in her blood. In 2004 she continues with electronic music and she is given the opportunity to warm up the dance floor for 2 local DJ’s at a club called Café 83 Sur. In November of that same year, she becomes a resident DJ for the first time at a Lounge called “Bajarse al Moro”.

In 2005 she has no option but to put aside the electronic sounds she so loved to pursue an academic career, but a year later she returns with lots of energy and dedication, and with a different sound.

This time around she comes with a melodic-progressive style (progressive house) with influences from DJ’s like Tarkan, V-Sag, G-Pal and more. Also, she works in tandem with D.U.B which is shorthand for Deep Underground Beats : spreading her unique style of music througout all Central America the world.

Not satisfied with only being a DJ, she started new projects as a Producer, using her own vocals and also, she has Tracks released on beatport. Monik also Has been invited to be a guest DJ in one of the most important Online Radios world wide, frisky radio by Dj tarkan and Andrew k. Living on the edge to Europe, in Turkey, having new musical projects and starting her own F.M. radio show.

In her short time being a DJ in Costa Rica, DJ Monik shared turntables with Dj's like : : Sandra Collins (Usa) , DJ Tarkan (Turkey), Sultan (Canada), Ale Reeves (Chile), Tom Swayer (Panamá), Sergio Mixx (Panamá), Fabio Garcés (Colombia), Eric Prestinary (costa rica), Iván Gafer (costa rica) and many more.
Lippa :
Though its been only a short time in he's carrer as dj,lippa has proved to be ahead of his time. He was first exposed to the electronic sound when atended the club Regina 51.

He feel in love with the more darker and influencial sounds of the underground movement. That style was transmited by the lights of Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, Satoshi Tomiie, Deep Dish, just to mention a few.
.
He started in the scene playing the sound of progressive tribal house, influeced by producer such as Pillavin and Zimbardo, Tony Thomas, Dj Nukeem, Chab, and many more. He started his residency in Club Cafe 83 in 2003 where he started to play along side Ivan Gafer, Monik , and Ares. His style has caught the liking of his friends by which he later found himself playing in Costa Rica's own club Vertigo for the first time.

That same year he had the chance to part take in events in places like , Club Bash, Club Boogie, Bajarse al Moro, Cafe 83 sur, Vertigo Lounge, Club Oh, Van Gogh and many more. As his style progressed he bacame more and more interested in the Minimal movement in Germany. He was hypotized by the sounds of Domink Eulberg, Robag Wruhme, The Wighnomy Brs, Alter Ego, Onur Oezer, and Afternoon Coffee Boys.

He incorporated minimal in his sets given them a more eerie and misterious sound. He has always been supported by his colleague's Ares, Ivan Gafer, and Monik. Together they formed a collaboration called D.U.B short for deep undergorund beats. This union helped promote their unique style to the masses. Supported by the likes of Club Vertigo they made their debut for Vertigo's third aniversary party. That was the beginning of a legacy!

They later continued to promote the infamous D.U.B Sessions and their new venture Sunset Sessions. Their efforts to continue to bring to the people a new concept of electronic music within all diferent styles will flourish as time goes by. One thing is for sure they will continue to expose the people to different concepts and help the scene stay strong within Costa Rica!.

With a different and particular tribal style, Ares has demonstrated talent despite his short age and short time being a DJ in Costa Rica. He's influenced mainly by DJ's like Steve Lawler, Chus & Ceballos, Dr. Kucho, Mario Ochoa, DJ Fist, Oscar G, Antoine Clamaran, among others.

He has played in the Mixology in the now defunct Club 360 and in the Back to Basics events in Club Vertigo. Also he shared turntables with Dj's like Tom Stephan (aka Superchumbo), Martin Accorsi, DJ Rap and Jason Osborne. His sounds range from African tribal to iberican and latin.
.
In a second phase of his DJ career, he decides to experiment with different sounds; more specifically with those of House and Jazz, with obvious influences from DJ's like Fred Everything, Jay Tripwire, Jason Hodges, Joey Youngman, Colette, and Kaskade, among many others. He manages to find a sweet spot between Jazzy, Techy, and Funky House to create a chilled atmosphere that also invites people to move to the beats.

Part of his projects in this new phase are a track he's working on, that fuses the tribal sounds he loves so much, with the new techy sounds he's experimenting with. He's also embarking on a new journey at the club he is now resident at, Club Vertigo with DJ's like Dayhota. With no doubt, there are good things to come for this aspiring DJ who puts a lot of effort into doing what he likes best: Enjoying music.

André Campos Romero (DJ Nochi) Artista costarricense nacido el 2 de mayo de 1990 con su poca edad y gran talento conocido por el sobrenombre de “Nochi”.
.
Graduado del Conservatorio de Castella, institución en la cual estudió diferentes áreas de la música como el piano, violín , guitarra, violonchelo y percusión entre otros; y su instrumento preferido es la trompeta por el cual pasó varios años estudiando dicho instrumento, pero al final de sus estudios se graduó en el área artística con énfasis en Escultura y la Pintura, debido a la influencia de su padre, el escultor Marco Antonio Campos Villalobos, artista muy reconocido en el mundo artístico costarricense, en el cual ha ganado diferentes premios y reconocimientos por su trabajo, ha compartido tornamesas con importantes DJs nacionales e internacionales.

Músico con tendencias marcadas hacia los instrumentos de percusión y viento de los cuales la trompeta es su especialidad, es el mas reciente miembro de D.U.B. como músico ha participado varias veces en duetos, incluyendo presentaciones en vivo en las que ha combinado la música acústica con sus sets de DJ.

A su corta edad DJ Nochi, es el miembro con el gusto más ecléctico por la música, lo cual caracteriza sus sets que varían no solo entre los géneros mas conocidos de la música electrónica sino también con gran influencia de géneros como el jazz, el dub, el reggae, y de ritmos latinos. Se desenvuelve con gran soltura mezclando minimal, deep house y tech house, sin dejar de lado elementos de dubstep y drum n’ bass con los que diversifica su inyectando energía en una gama de sonidos variados.
