About me: Seeking Executive Producers to fund my film, "DARK SEED"
My name is China L. Colston and I am a budding actress and independent filmmaker fairly new to New York city. I was born and raised in Chicago where I honed my craft as an actress at some of Chicago's most reputable theater companies such as Congo Square, MPAACT, Pegasus Player’s and Eta. My New York credits include the best friend in the indie film, Testimony of a Devotee", multiple roles in the highly rated sketch comedy show , "American Candy" produced by The American Theater of Harlem and as Nikki in "The Trip", under The Renaissance Theatre of Harlem. In Chicago, I was cast as the lead in the riveting short film, "Raw Emotions", which is being screened at several major national film festivals. In addition to that, I also played the supporting role in the critically acclaimed romantic comedy feature, "All About the Ring", which is also being showcased at a number of noted statewide film festivals. Now I am ready to take my career to newer heights here in New York. Lastly, I've written, directed and produced two shorts entitled, Discontinued and Journey of the heart.
