Nothing says success like a Grammy Award, but if you can’t take away the Award getting nominated can do a hell of a lot for your career. Getting the attention of the people who book TV talent for TV shows and getting your music placed in Movies and on Television comes a lot easier when your label rep. promo person or publicist calls and says, “I’m representing Grammy nominated and/ or Grammy winner so and so. Let’s be clear a lot of singles are accepted for Grammy voting but very few get nominated and some people like to confuse the two but there is a tremendous distinction. Submitted for your Grammy consideration are these singles that we at Deet were so proud to represent over the last year, we truly hope that you will find your way to their My Space page and give them a listen if you haven’t already and consider for your oh so precious vote! In particular all of these releases are in the Dance Field and up for Best Dance Recording.
Beatnik Castle Featuring Francillia - "Will U B Mine"
Beatnik Castle f/ Francillia scored last year with “Will U B Mine” on Mad Monk Ltd. This single has been submitted and accepted in a number of categories. Beatnik Castle is based in Tampa and consists of Cleveland native Quincy B Scovill and Caribbean Queen Francillia. Lenny B. and Cato K. provided fantastic mixes and helped fuel this single onto the American Airwaves by lieu of the Hot Mixers of America and is just beginning to get some love in rotation at Dance Radio. Please check them out at… http://www.myspace.com/beatnikcastle
Georgie Porgie - "Brand New Day"
Georgie Porgie has been kicking some serious ass with numerous number 1’s on the Billboard Club Charts not to mention the success all of the singles for which he provided a remix had. Out of Chicago he runs the Music Plant empire and is the longest running Independent Dance Record Label in the U.S. Quite an accomplishment for the guy the Dance Music Authority Magazine dubbed the Ambassador of Dance Music. This year he’s had two singles that defined the genre of “Muscular Male Vocals” and loox to set the pace for most prolific producer leading into 2010. Please do check out both “I Believe In Love” and “Brand New Day” at… http://www.myspace.com/plantwk
Godwin - "So In Love"
Godwin has been kicking around the Dance Music Industry for a minute already but only releases a single every few years, when the spirit moves him. Well in 2009 the spirit moved him and he released “So In Love” on his own Urban Dance Experience label. This man has a voice as thick and sweet as honey and a personality to match. Please visit him at… http://www.myspace.com/craiggodwin
“G” Cavelle Project - "Gone Is The Love"
The “G” Cavelle Project has been making quite a name for “G” lately with his inquiries coming into me from people who’d like to hire him to remix their own singles. “G”’s productions have the spirit of the Garage-ish armof Disco down pat coupled with todays technology. His latest single “Gone Is The Love” has been accepted in the Best Dance recording field and is a perfect example of that. Tony Cruz who provides vocals could be Peter Brown and this could be 1982 all over again! Aside from all that “G” is a man who larger than life in stature and personality and noe will ever forget meeting him, without a doubt the funniest guy making disco records today, please consider his latest single for a Grammy nomination and check it out at, http://www.myspace.com/jamwithg
Tod Miner - "Totally Numb"
Tod Miner proves the Music Plant family has more to offer than straight up house music as his productions and remixes give the Music Plant family and their releases and edge that comes from an Alternative place. His productions are tough as nails and rock a dancefloor but his latest single accepted in the dance field, “Totally Numb” showcase a softer blue eyed vocal also not often heard on a Music Plant record but oh so welcome, please do check it and Tod out at, http://www.myspace.com/todminer
Pepper MaShay - "Does Your Mama Know"
Finally, the last single I’d like you to consider is by no means the least and comes from the mighty Pepper MaShay! Although flying high with her cover of Aretha Franklin’s “Freeway Of Love” her single accepted in the Dance Field this year is her self penned “Does Your Mama Know.” She felt inspired to write this song after seeing the likes of young starlets such as Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan all over the tabloids with their exploits and the full line in the song is “Does Your Mama Know, girl you’re a freak!” If Georgie Porgie is the Ambassador of Dance Music than Miss Pepper is the Grand Dutchess! Please do go check out this so worthy single at, http://www.myspace.com/frecklebandit
We are prouder than a Peacock at a Pride Parade of all of these singles and artists we have had the chance to work with and for whom have become family. Please consider supporting them with your oh so precious Grammy vote and if you see them coming to a neighborhood near you, please go see them and demand live entertainment from your local nightclub!
