DEFANICO was born in 1982 in Mexico City. At early age he gained an intuitive spirit for arts. He formed his journey through the masterful minds of painters like Salvador Dali, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, and the exquisite sound of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Queen, The Who and the classic masters Van Beethoven and Mozart, from whom he took inspiration. He became an audio-visual driven youngster, passionate for expression and instinctual promulgation. After some years of perceptive motivation, DEFANICO declared himself as an artist as well and began developing his own creative mind as a musician. He began writing for piano at a young age, oscillating his composition from classical, all the way to rock and blues. Consequently, as the years went by and the 90’s were rapidly fading away, DEFANICO stepped down from (without forgetting) the guidance of rock with Guns n’ Roses and INXS and entered the world of modern pop and the newly found alternative like Radiohead.
By that time, DEFANICO’s interest in new music led him to experiment with his composition. He began his preparation adjourning self-taught education and enlisted Fermatta Music Academy to liberate his professional need for a more sober career as a musician. He attended the academy for four years and fulfilled a Masters Degree in Piano and Composition with a minor in Media and Technology apart from the academy.
He joined forces with his childhood friend and producer Alejandro De la Parra Solomon (BLY) to come up with a stunning concept and hit mass media. In the "Rise of the Cosmos" album presentation Defanico shared stage with the acclaimed Sigur Ros and Andrew Bird.

Defanico se mezcla entre lo electronico, ambiental y el rock-pop. Ha compuesto mas de 300 temas (incluyendo instumental/piano), tiene experiencia y talento para presentarse en vivo. (Mas de 200 venues diferentes y varias presentaciones en los escenarios mas ensordecedores por toda la Ciudad de Mexico. Leonardo de Lozanne (Fobia) fue director vocal de Defanico.
El album debut titulado "Rise of the Cosmos" se presenta con finas texturas y sonidos frescos. Defanico compartio escenario con Sigur Ros & Andrew Bird en la presentacion del disco. Compuesto por Defanico y producido por Alejandro de la Parra Solomon (BLY).
