    Introducing "Def Digital", one of the freshest, most promising electronic acts to come out of Melbourne, Australia. Sharing their passion for music Jake Scarmozzino and Warwick Browne founded the group "Transit" in 2003. After some time writing, producing and performing the duo decided to have a break and it wasn't until the summer of 2007 that the two would reform to create Def Digital. Not willing to compromise on quality and intent on presenting their driving, progressive signature sound to the best of their ability, Def Digital deferred their first official release until July 2009. 'Beautiful Insomnia' was released on BeatGeek Records and created a buzz when it shot to number one on the Release Promo charts (www.releasepromo.com) and remained there for two weeks. After a promising pre-release, expectations were high for the duo's debut EP and 'Beautiful Insomnia' peaked at number 7 on the DJ Download progressive charts. The 'Beautiful Insomnia EP' received critical acclaim with strong support from the likes of PQM, Jaytech, DJ Fady Farraye, Eelke Kleijn, Derek Howell and DJ Lemon8. Def Digital teamed up with fellow Melbourne based producer Blinky in a collaborative effort for their second EP, 'Defunke'. This release lived up to expectation with the single sitting at #3 on mypromopool for three weeks receiving outstanding reviews from DJ's around the world. 'DeFunke' was licensed for an Open Records compilation, who described the track as "one of the best tunes to come out of Australia in years ". 'Beautiful Insomnia', 'Defunke' and 'Amnesia' have received radio support from stations including KISS FM, Joy FM, Proton Radio, and Frisky Radio. Def Digital have crafted remixes for PQM, Blinky, DJ Fady Ferraye, Federico Monachesi, Ninesh Babu and Felix Stone. Just as comfortable behind their live rig as they are in the studio, the duo have gained a strong foothold and international exposure within the progressive scene in a relatively short amount of time. Def Digital have built a well earned following with tunes that range from driving progressive house and trance to dirty early morning prog enriched with lush sweeping airy pads, dominating melodic lead riffs and vocals that create awe inspiring heavenly breakdowns and skin tingling build-ups. Def Digital endeavours to create and produce music beyond the mind's limitations, be creatively free and to present their sound to a live audience in the same fashion.
