   Allston/Brighton Neighborhood Assembly's Blurbs
About me:
The Allston/Brighton Neighborhood Assembly (ABNA) is a group of neighbors, local workers and allies dedicated to building a stronger, more democratic Allston/Brighton. We are not affiliated with any political party, institution, corporation, or other special interest group, as these divide people rather than unite them. We are all volunteers and entirely run on neighborhood participation, and we aim to keep it that way. We believe that neighbors should decide what happens in their neighborhoods, not politicians, developers, and others who do not live or work in the community. We operate on the concept of Direct Democracy, meaning that all people have an equal voice in the Assembly and the right to lead voluntarily by example.

Federal Court Reaffirms Frame-Up Conviction, Orders Life Behind Bars or Racist Legal Lynching

Ruling Against Mumia Shows: No Justice in the Capitalist Courts

Mobilize the Working Class to Free Mumia Abu-Jamal! Abolish the Racist Death Penalty!

On March 27, the U.S. appeals court in Philadelphia reaffirmed the frame-up conviction of Mumia Abu-Jamal, the former Black Panther Party spokesman and world-renowned radical journalist who has been locked up on Pennsylvania’s death row for more than a quarter century. This latest ruling, like all those that preceded it, shows that the exploited and oppressed must have no faith in the racist injustice system.
We call on the workers movement to mobilize its power to free Mumia now! Mobilize the Working Class to Free Mumia Abu-Jamal! (28 March 2008)

If you want to distribute leaflets about Mumia, get in touch with us.

Hey here is some thing of intrest.
I like to know why A Charlesview Resident is not repesented on this group. {IAG Independent Advisory Group}There are 2 people that are on this group that should not be representing it at all 1- works for the Allston Brighton Resource center who is affilated with the BRA, THE MAYOR OF BOSTON, And to Harvard University, 2-THE OTHER One from the Boston College Task force Who has an agenda for himself for the Allston Brighton community. He has a friend on the Allston Harvard Task force. and a law partner who is a City wide counclor for Boston. I would not "TRUST ANY OF THEM" I belevive it would be a conflict of intrest were most of them have some affilation to BOSTON CITY GOVERMENT, AND TO HARVARD UNIVERSITY.
I think the CHARLESVIEW COMMUNITY WOULD NOT BE PROPPLEY REPRESENTED BY THE {IAG} AT ALL AND I THINK THAT STATE REP HONAN. REP MORAN, AND COUNCLOR COIMMO, AND TOLMAN SHOULD RECONSIDER THIS APPOINTMENT TO THE {IAG}I do not reamber anything going out as to signing up to be a memmber of this group if i did i would have put my name in for the IAG GROUP. jimmy....
