Crystal has performed locally as a solo artist for around two years before DEFiNED were formed and built up a good following for her excellent vocals. She can sing a huge range of material from Shania Twain through to Aerosmith, and is the driving force behind our song choice. Crystal uses her vocal chords and a Shure SM58 vocal mic, Lee Oscar harmonicas and a rather flashy pink mic stand.
Guitar - Andy
Andy has been playing around Scunthorpe for ten years or so now, starting out with Sledgehammer, then moving on to Constant Craving, Recall and Gaskin. Andy has a huge passion for playing the guitar, and has the ability to turn his hand to almost anything. Andy is an Ibanez devotee, and recently has discovered the wonderful sound of Engl amps.
Guitar - Neil
Neil is the second half of DEFiNED's guitar armoury. He too has been playing in and around Scunthorpe for some time now, most notably with The Grin, who have supported Adam Bomb on a number of occasions. Neil is also a lover of all things Ibanez, and has also moved to the Engl camp for guitar amps!!
Bass - John
John, or Toddy as he known to most people is also a long term member of the Scunthorpe musicians club!! Having played with well known local acts such as Recall and more recently Cracker 2 he has fine tuned his craft, leading him to DEFiNED. John plays an Ibanez five string bass through a SWR Super Redhead Combo. John is the calming influence in the band!!
Drums - Dave
Dave is probably the most experienced member of the band, having played with a huge number of local artists such as Gaskin, Adrenalin, Black Diamond and Sledgehammer to name a few. Dave has a great touch for 'the groove' and is also excellent on backing vocals, which makes him extremely versatile. These talents combined with his superb sounding Tama kit completes the DEFiNED line up.
DEFINED will be parting company as of July this year. We have decided that things have run their course and we'd like to move onto new challenges. So apologies if you had planned to or indeed had booked us after July!!! Just to stop any rumors we haven't all started hating each other, it's just things have moved on and it's just musical evolution!!

DEFiNED are a female fronted five piece cover band from Scunthorpe, UK. We cover a huge variety of material from artists such as Aerosmith, Toto, George Michael, Bon Jovi, The Police, Avril Lavigne, Pink, Alanis Morrissette, The Bangles, No Doubt, Maroon 5 and loads more.
Our aim is to play a variety of songs which you may not hear any other bands playing, giving something for everybody. Check out our gig list for latest gigs, and if we're near you come and check us out!

Hey Guys... Great Gig last night... Recordings didn't go too well... The line out to my mixer was mainly Crystal's vocals with everything else in the background... The Video was pretty bad too but i think would have been better if there was some spots pointing towards you from the front rather than just flashing from the rear... but on a positive note the sound from the camcorder isn't half bad so I'm using that for now. Been working with it for most of the day and will bring cd('s) with me to your next practice. Cheers Stooey
