DEF REPPLICA are one of the hottest tribute bands in Melbourne, and is the nation’s only Def Leppard tribute band. In fact, they are the only Def Leppard tribute band to date in the southern hemisphere! DEF REPPLICA capture the look,energy and sound of Def Leppard’s live performances from the 80’s, especially the Hysteria and Pyromania era's.
DEF REPPLICA provide a show that gives the best of both worlds of Def Leppard; the excitement and visual spectacle of their live shows while providing the production value of the albums.
DEF REPPLICA currently have 26 classic Def Leppard songs in their
repertoire, making up well over a 2 hour back-to-back show, ranging from fist-pumping party anthems like “Pour Some Sugar On Me” to tear-jerking power ballads like “Love Bites”. DEF REPPLICA intend to cover every one of the band’s hits as well as hidden gems to satisfy even the most die-hard Def Leppard fan. The songs will span Def Leppard’s entire 28 year history and cover all eleven of Def Leppard’s classic albums.
DEF REPPLICA was manifested in early 2006 by lead guitarist Adrian who spent a solid 6 months in his home studio recording midi sequenced effects to simulate the high production and polish of the Def Leppard studio albums. Adrian then set about finding not only the best players, but also the people who most closely resembled their Def Leppard counterparts. He began by enlisting the services of longtime friend Jimmy, a drummer with the rare ability of using the same "one-armed" technique as Def Leppard skinsman Rick Allen.
Adrian and Jim then put an ad out for musicians and began the auditioning process, looking to assemble the lineup that could best deliver the songs and stage show. The road to forming DEF REPPLICA had its share of problems but the dedicated musicians kept on pressing until they finally found the right combination. When these 5 people came together, the magic was instantaneous and DEF REPPLICA was born.
DEF REPPLICA provide a highly entertaining live show which excites, stimulates and moves the audience. All members of DEF REPPLICA are accomplished musicians with vast experience, and they provide all the multi-part group vocal harmonies that are the trademark of the Def Leppard live sound. DEF REPPLICA also use midi sequenced effects to simulate the high production and polish of the Def Leppard studio albums.
DEF REPPLICA’s music and showmanship are equally matched by their strong image and stage presence. All five musicians bear a striking physical resemblance to the actual Def Leppard band members. DEF REPPLICA look the part even down to the genuine vintage 80’s attire. DEF REPPLICA’s wardrobe consists of historically accurate replicas of the stage clothing worn by Def Leppard in the 80s, particularly during the Hysteria era tour as seen on the “In The Round” concert video.
DEF REPPLICA also copy the individual stage moves of the legendary band they imitate to perfection, the outgrowth of experience gleaned from innumerable hours of viewing rare 80’s Def Leppard concert footage. DEF REPPLICA is as exciting to watch as they are to listen to.

Hello!!! It's been awhile - sorry there hasn't been in any Australian shows for many months but we've been busy in Europe with a bunch of touring and we're now recording our new album in Berlin (scheduled for release in March). But to make up for it, here's a big (and silly) Merry Christmas from us (and from some hippos too) :
