Deft Leppard uses:
Deft Leppard was formed in April / May 2005 by Ashley (Joe), Arron Sutton (frontman of Bryan Adams tribute Waking up the neighbours), Mark, and three of Ashley's previous bandmates from Bon Jovi tribute "Being Jovi", Mike, Ian and Lee.
The first show was on August 6 - a support for Killer Queen (Queen of fire) at the Robin 2, Bilston. This was closely followed by an hour set at The Nags in Nuneaton and then full headline shows at the Rock Cafe 2000, Stourbridge and LA Rock Cafe Cannock in September.
Since these early days, the band has stood out on the tribute scene; gaining a reputation for superb vocal harmonies, excellent musicianship and tight professional sound. Deft Leppard pride themselves on getting the sound, energy and atmosphere of the real thing as close as possible. They are studious in their approach to replicating the material as honestly as possible and it shows in their full-on live performances.
At the end of March 2007, Arron left the band, to be replaced by Alex Wall as the new Viv. His amazing guitar and vocal talents fitted in perfectly and the band go from strength to strength.
Deft Leppard don't pretend to be look-alikes. The music is the first concern, and the biggest compliment made to the guys was that someone outside the venue thought they were listening to the real Def Leppard on the jukebox!
