    Defying Silence is an original rock band from the suburbs of Atlanta, GA. The band originally formed in June of 2008 by vocalist Brian Atha and guitarist Jake O'Donnell. After a few member changes over the next year, the final lineup soon became complete after adding bassist Adam Plato and drummer Josh Fulcher into the mix. Defying Silence's influences include an eclectic mix of grunge, modern rock, metal and classic rock. DS executes an energetic live show with emphasis on creating very little "dead time" between songs. This helps to create a dynamic tonality that is beginning to resonate throughout the southeast. Defying Silence is currently recording their debut EP at Open Sky Studios in Atlanta with producer/engineer Bruce Butkovich and Jack Andrad.
