About me:
Are you looking for a fine acoustic guitar - Handcrafting acoustic and resophonic guitars is what I love doing!
First established in 1978 the DeGruchy guitar is a totally handcrafted instrument from the finest materials, each individually constructed by Luthier, Bryan de Gruchy, in his one-man workshop in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, focusing on quality steel-string acoustic guitars and resophonic guitars for both flatpickers and fingerstyle guitarist.
Careful consideration is given to the choice of materials (all solid choice woods) and type of construction to meet the needs of the player and produce an instrument which has a quality warm rich tone, volume, balance and sustain qualities - stability, playability and an instrument of beauty that will give pride and inspire the player.
DeGruchy Guitars come in Dreadnaught, Concert, Small Body, Parlour and Resophonic models and are made from Brazilian Mahogany, Australian Blackwood, East Indian Rosewood or Brazilian Rosewood back and sides with Iveroid or Tortoiseshell Binding, aged Sitka or Engleman Spruce soundboards, Brazilian Mahogany neck with adjustable truss-rod, Ebony with Paua or Pearl shell dot markers, Ebony Bridge and fingerboards.
