IN FIRE BAPTISED is a magnificent 4-piece outfit i went to see live twice AND i have created a logo for....When i saw them live on August 24th at the Queens Hotel in Weymouth, my jaw already dropped but now when i saw them last friday (sept 14th) at the finns...i've been catapulted to other superior spheres...This band is absolutely A M A Z I N G! I REALLY encourage EVERYONE to Check their profile on myspace, myspace.com/infirepaptised as well as their promotion agency BLACK TAPESTRY promotions, www.myspace.com/blacktapestrypromotions After a nice warm up by Ezikiel (www.myspace.com/ezikiel1), Palingenesis and ARCHAIC ARCANUM, a murderous, savage and ulcerous black metal 5-piece outfit featuring the In Fire Baptised bassist Axel, IN FIRE BAPTISED launched the offensive with such tracks as "IN FIRE BAPTISED", "MORTAL RANCOUR" where some really hypnotic riffs mesmerised me and carried me away to other dimensions...reaching an apotheosis on such as "The Lateran Revulsion" and the outstanding, paroxysmal and wicked "Tapestry In Black"....where these hypnotic riffs are taking EERIE Dimensions. "Dystopia" and "Catacomb Soul Escape" contains some amazing guitar solos. Conceptwise and Lyricwise, IFB is a strongly anti-christian band and musicwise, the best way i could describe their sound is a unique blend of metal at the bounds of black and death metal, with some nice old school speed/thrash metal riffs, layered with some amazing hypnotic riffs you can imagine in Depressive black metal..., giving to IFB a UNIQUE and outstanding fruity, velvety finish. IFB is to be enjoyed like such a divine wine as "La Grande Tour" or "Ernest and Julio Gallo" on it's own or with such great bands as ENGORGE, LEGIONS OF ASTAROTH or BLOODSTORM...or mediterranean food..
