Hi Deirdre! It's your fan Jessica from Hawaii. I was wondering if it wouldn't be too much trouble if you could log in an add some new music to your page, like "goodbye" and "food" and "the fishlands". My friends and I want to put them on our profiles. We love your cd's! How are things going with the "four Bitchin Babes"? I hope you've been doing well, and I hope you get this soon, but I know your busy... Have a nice day, Jessica ps. I put the "Unicorn song" on my page everybody loves it! Thanks for writing such comical music and helping me get through all the hard times.
Hey Folks! We're taking a two-week break from our regular release
schedule in honor of the Stanley Cup finals, but we'll be back June 15
with the next track - a bizarre remake of Bo Diddley's Who Do
You Love.
So...to tide you over till then, we've compiled eight videos from
production rehearsals at the Capitol Theater and posted them HERE and HERE. You can also download the audio files
for free (yes, free) from the main Kicksville site HERE. We've been getting a LOT of questions
about when we'll be touring again, so read this week's blog about the Capitol Theater gig for the gory details.
Enjoy the videos and MP3s, and we'll see you in two weeks (Go Penguins!)
Kicksville Rolls Out Smart “Dumfukistan” On 4/20 Holiday
‘The Singles - Season 2’ To Be Released
Kicksville, the musical collective with a population of almost 60 at last count, culture-jammed their way through 'The Singles - Season 1" this winter and have now prepped their ‘Season 2’ release this spring. The album will be released in weekly “singles” installments, beginning on Kicksville's Founders' Day, 4/20, with “Dumfukistan. ”
Like Kicksville, “Dumfukistan” is more a state of mind than a mappable location, one where the inhabitants, says Commissioner Conrad St. Clair, "are more focused on their bellybuttons and their hair than the world around them." The song embodies the group's dark comedy in a tidy two-minute auditory package featuring scathing lyrics, playful guitar, pummeling drum and bass - all while criticizing government and consumerism behind a genre mash-up from another galaxy.
'Season 2' features the contributions of 18 citizen musicians, but focuses on the members of Kicksville's far-flung City Council: Commissioner St. Clair, Mayor Mike Stehr, Lou Caldarola, Chris Huntington, Beaker, Tone Deaf and Aya Peard.

Hey Deirdre! How have you been? I was wondering if you could please put the song "Goodbye" on your MySpace. You know that one that goes something like "I went out last night I saw your new girlfriend she was being carded at the liquor store"... See I still remember all the words to your music! lol Well I hope you've been doing good, I see your keeping a real busy schedule with the four bitchin babes... well have a great week, Aloha, Jessica
