Sounds Like
A mix of love and h8, the keyboard during middle school chatrooms, your favorate retro TV show theme song, that kid who always who says he likes jazz and "let's jam sometime," The music that your misunderstood teen angst embraced when your friends disappear.
The Christmas lights strung around your room when you relocated to the basement and dimmed the switch.
Hello Friends,
My name is Dejen Tesfagiorgis, and I am a saxophonist living in the Twin Cities. I teach and I learn. I cuttently attend the University of St. Thomas. I love the balancing act of composing, arranging, and performing jazz and classical music. I currently study with Ruben Haugen, and have had studies with Roscoe Mitchell, David Murray, Joan Griffith, Brian Grivna, and Ryan Meisel.
I made this page to showcase some of my jazz music. I love playing with different people, so I've made this a general Dejen et al page. I hope that doesn't sound absolutist, but I'm still trying to find the precise blend.
I appreciate any feedback you may have. feel free to message me. Take care.
