About me:
De La Luna Designs is an expression of individuality and a celebration of life and the journey we travel through. The creative process starts with finding unique materials which are combined together making a functional one of a kind piece of art. “This is the art of redesign.” The materials range from handbags, wallets, luggage, leather jackets, coats, fabrics and anything else that can be used creatively. De La Luna Designs strives to use recycled clothing and fabrics in turn giving them a new life. This makes a contribution to the preservation of our planet.
Celebrando L@s Nin@s de La Tierra / Celebrating the Children of the Earth takes place Sunday, May 3rd, 2009, noon to 4PM, in Long Beach at the LB Organics Wild Oats Community Garden at 10th Street and Grand Avenue.
We invite families from all over the greater Los Angeles area to come and participate as we celebrate children from all over the Earth!
We are a grassroots collective of families who came together and shared our dreams about organizing a children's event in Los Angeles focused on education through art and self-expression. We realize that children, just like adults, learn best by example. So we thought that we could bring together different artists, activists, educators, parents, community members, etc, to create a festival that allows for our children and our community to dance, sing, create and share communal space.
Help spread the word about Sleep Dealer, out April 17th! Look for it at a theater near you. The film is also being used a fundraisaing tool for community groups, schools, etc. Contact me if you want more info. lpalomares@maya-entertainment.com

Okay, I got a challenge! Here's the tree to trim! LOOKING FOR PINK GLITZ & GLAMOUR!
The contest is to create 2 ornaments for this tree, strictly by hand, using any crafting materials and supplies. They must go along the theme of pink and they must be 5 inches or larger wide or tall. It must be female oriented and things that a girl would like (nothing dirty or violent). Each ornament will be judge by 3 judges, including me. The winner will get to select a prize from 2 categories. Prizes are a surprise, but are well worth the creativity. If you'd like to join the contest please let me know my sending me a message and signing up by replying on my blog. My best inspiration is let it represent you a little of inspiration and alot of creation and glitzy and glamourous! If you would like to do more than 2 it's up to you. (EVEN ANYTHING BEADED FOR YOU CLAY MAKERS & JEWELERS) The trim for this tree can be anything from ornaments to garland. Just mix the 2, 1 ornament & 1 trim or 2 ornaments.
