ART ROCKS BEST KEPT SECRET (NME)The Delaners are a stomping disco rock'n'roll 4 piece from Medway, Kent. Pete (Bass, vocals), Ross (Guitar, vocals) and Dave (Drums, vocals) all met at school and started playing together when they discovered their mutual appreciation of music. When they left school, they went their separate ways to pursue other projects, but came back together as a band and were joined by Andy (Keys, guitar) to form The Delaners.
The band were immediately picked up by Tap N Tin Records for a single deal, released as a limited edition 7" vinyl, which sold out after only 3 days. After the success of the single, The Delaners were offered an album deal but the band declined. The band were well received by public and press, deemed 'Art rocks best kept secret' by the NME yearbook and 'Sweet Jar' was added onto the legendary (and sadly missed) John Peel's last ever playlist.
Since the release of the single, the band have been in the studio recording loads of new material which they have produced themselves, and are now touring the live circuit with their high energy, thumping performance.
