The «exploding» city:'L'explosio de la ciutat' exhibition digital projections were displayed mostly by reflecting images from mirrorslocated along the periphery of exhibit space.

The exhibition presented a selective inventory of the different forms of territorial transformation that have taken place in representative Euromediterranean urban regions. The aim was to present both an overview and a closer examination of the most significant fragments and situations in relation to the process underway. The presentation of the morphological realities of the region was complemented by a selective examination of contemporary sociological behaviors as they relate to the new settings for urban life. Such behaviors raise questions concerning the functioning of our habitat and point to possible problems in the way that it is currently organized.
The exhibition included theoretical reflections by key authors on the international cultural scene, and a selection of territorial projects and proposals related to the urban regions examined. Finally, various directions were suggested to guide a renewed approach to territorial development.

DR: AN UNCOMPLETE APPROACH

Dr is the alter -ego of Mr. Delfí Ramirez born in BCN, 1965
Delfí Ramirez is a musician/composer, writer, programmer and enterpreneur. MAPhil degree at the Universitat de Barcelona. Was Educated in Music and Harmonyat the Conservatori Superior de Barcelona.
In the early 80's he coursed Biology at the Universitat de Barcelona.
His first work in music, was in the mid eighties, being member/musician iin bands of avant-garde of the ephemeral scene nuwave of Barcelona, and collaborating with musicians like Hugo de Campos or Xavier Bergman.
"From 1987 until 1997 he presided over Fist Bar!. Over those years he has programmed and endless number of activities which transformed FistBar! into one of the most important reference for establishing alternative cultural trends in Barcelona, promoting decidedly avant-garde aesthetic on a visual and musical level."
"He has a twenty year history career as musician and DJ, showing great eclecticism making space for diverse trends in electronic and contemporary music."
In 1997 he was choosed asone of the topten DJ of the year by the Magazine RockdeLux
. This same year moves the residence of FistBar! from its original place to Zeleste 4 in Barcelona (actually RexRoom/Razz) for 3 years, continuing its activity as organizer, DJ and promoter he had in FistBar!.
In 1999, alongside with Pere Espinosa, they carried on Sur de Zeleste (present The Loft) until the year 2000.
From 1995 he has done several projects and appearances in solitaire as DJ or composer, including Sónar Festival 1995, Fusionica 01 or Hangar production center 1998's inauguration, amongst others.
He studies computer design and digital cinema at Futura Barcelona - La Salle in the late 1990s. Then, in 2001 he co-founds Segonquart Studio, a new media collective he leads.
Since 1996 he has collaborated with artists such as MIT engineer Zack Liebermann, painter Magdalena Esteve, visual artist Javier Peñafiel, photographers Jordi Bernadó or Roger Grasas, architect Jose Maria Baquero, film director Isaac Racine, or the novelist Josep Roca.
As a writer he writes scripts for broadcast companies, and essays for cultural magazines. In 1997 he act as co-editor for Big Stain,a cultural magazine. He has published some poetry, essays, and scripts.
In September of 1997 he introduced -as a premiere in Spain- Kenneth Anger' complete works , a one-night-play for 2000 people with his live 4 hour Djset re-creating the original soundtracks in Sala Apolo, Barcelona.
This live performance, as others mentioned above , has been recorded for Film/Video, and it remains lost somewhere in Berlin (Germany).
In 2000, he curated the first ever exhibition of sound & art, at the Mercat de les Flors, BCN, July of that year.
In 2003 he scored, played and produced the 57min Soundtrack "Welcome Utopia" a CD companion to the multimedia exhibition by photograph/architect/professor Jordi Bernadó at the Fundacio La Caixa, BCN, from February to April that year.
In 2004 hescorescore and record a 20min piece for electronics, violin and orchestra for the sound track film ' Capsula 7', companion to the multimedia art exhibition "L'Explosió de la Ciutat", an exhibition/ installation directed by Mr. Jordi Bernadó, shown in the COAC during the Forum de les Cultures 2004 from May to September that year.
This and other sound installations from the period 2002-4 has been exhibited in Italy, Portugal, Japan, UK or Spain.
Previously, in 1999 he collaborates with MarkthallerGraph as a assistant engineer for the Expo2000 ( Frankfurt, DE ). In 2000 he composes the soundtrack for Falk Richter's 'God is a DJ', a theater play performed at Abaixadors Deu and Nau Ivanow.
From 2003 writes the score and produces the main theme song for the Annual White AGBAR' cd-rom (Aigües of Barcelona) head of great holding constituted by more than 230 companies and 140 years of history that operates in all the scopes related to the services the colectivity: integral cycle of the water, health, inspection and certification, among others. In 2005, Delfí writes the score, plays and produces the BSO documentary film (Switch OFF: Apaga y Vamonos) Dolby 35m 80min, awarded film present in competition in 150 festivals worldwide. Exhibited in cinemas in United States, Europe and South America. For that reason he has been finalist in the annual awards' Premis de Cine Ciutat de Barcelona 2006' as a composer.
In 2006 is responsible of the sound design and main title sequences for "Deixa'm in Pau", a documentary film on Pau Riba.
His most recent releases are intended to be published in the CD "Dolby Surrender" someday.

Switch Off documentary was released in DVD format in 2008. He is currently developing a new film project intended to be finished and exhibited in 2009 worldwide.

Delfí Ramírez is alive and well and living in Barcelona.

UNA POSIBLE BIOGRAFIA.
DR es el alter-ego de Delfí Ramírez nacido en BCN, en 1965.
Delfí Ramirez es musico/compositor, escritor, programador y emprendedor. Licenciado por la Universitat de Barcelona. Estudia Música y Armonía en el Conservatori de Superior Barcelona.
A mediados de los 80 se divierte siendo miembro bandas de avant-garde de la efímera escena nuwave de Barcelona,o en el matadero de Sant Just Desvern, BCN, con su banda y junto a Barcelonautas Dadá, el grupo de Oscar Abril Ascaso en aquella década.En esos mediados años 80 cursa Biología en Universitat de Barcelona.
Colabora con músicos como Hugo de Campos o Xavier Bergman.

"Conocido activista cultural de la ciudad de Barcelona. Desde 1987 hasta 1999 dirigió FistBar!. Durante esos años programó un sinfín actividades convirtiendo a FistBar! en uno de los referentes más importantes para el establecimiento de nuevas corrientes culturales alternativas en Barcelona, apostando por una decidida estética vanguardista, a nivel visual y musical.
Ha desarrollado una exitosa carrera como Dj y músico dando cabida a las más diversas tendencias en música electrónica. En los últimos 12 años, compone y produce música electroacústica."
En 1997 es elegido uno de los 10 mejores DJ del año, por la Revista RockdeLux, entre otras.
En 1995 traslada la residencia de FistBar! a la sala 4 Zeleste en Barcelona ( Actual Razzmatazz ) donde amplia su trayectoria de organizador, DJ y promotor durante los dos siguientes años.
En 1999, junto a Pere Espinosa, inauguran y residen como Djs la Sala Sur de Zeleste ( actual The Loft ) hasta el año 2000.
Desde 1995 realiza varios los proyectos y los apariciones en solitario como DJ o compositor, incluyendo el festival Sónar1995, Fusionica 01, la inauguración del centro de producción Hangar en 1998, o la presentación/directo de la revista electrónica de arquitectura WAM en Metrònom, donde se realiza un live-set con 3 Djs: Chop-Suey , Professor Angel Dust y él mismo.
Estudia Diseño y Programación por Computadora en Futura BCN- LaSalle a finales de los años 90. En 2001 co-funda el Segonquart Studio, colectivo de nuevas tecnologías e internet que lidera actualmente.
Desde 1996 colabora con artistas como el ingeniero del MIT Zack LieberMann, la pintora Magdalena Esteve, el artista visual Javier Peñafiel, los fotógrafos Jordi Bernadó o Roger Grasas, el arquitecto Jose Maria Baquero, el cineasta Isaac Racine, o el novelista Josep Roca.
Ha escrito y escribe para compañías de radiodifusión y magazines culturales. En 1995 fue co-editor de Big Stain, magazine cultural.
En Julio del 2000, produce la primera exposición del sonido y arte digital, realizada en el Hall del Mercat de les Flors, BCN.
En 2003 realiza la banda sonora original para "Welcome Utopía" una exhibición de arte y un libro multimedia del fotógrafo/arquitecto/profesor Jordi Bernadó, exhibida en el Sala Montcada, BCN, de febrero a abril de ese año.
En 2004 compone la banda sonora original de 20 minutos, obra para electrónica, violín y orquesta, del film ' Capsula 7 ', que acompaña la exposición multimedia "L'explosió de la Ciutat", realizada en el COAC durante el Forum 2004 de les Cultures, dirigida por Jordi Bernadó.
Esta y otras instalaciones de 2002-4 se han exhibido en Italia, Portugal, Japón, Reino Unido o España.
Previamente, en 1999 colabora con MarkthallerGraph como ingeniero de sonido auxiliar para la Expo2000 (Francfort, DE).
También en 1999 compone la banda de sonora original para ' God is a DJ ' de Falk Richter, una obra de teatro presentada en Abaixadors Deu y en Nau Ivanow, donde tiene residencia anual como DJ.
Desde 2003 compone y produce el tema principal de la música para el Libro Blanco Anual del CDROM para AGBAR (Aigües de Barcelona) cabecera de un gran holding constituido por más de 230 empresas y 140 años de historia que opera en todos los ámbitos relacionados con los servicios a la colectividad: ciclo integral del agua, salud, inspección y certificación, entre otros.
En 2005 compone, interpreta y produce la BSO de la película documental ( Switch OFF: Apaga y Vamonos) Dolby 35m 80min finalista en 100 festivales y premiada mundialmente. Exhibida en salas cinematográficas de más de 10 países .
Por ello ha sido finalista en los premios anuales ' Premis de Cine Ciutat de Barcelona 2006' como compositor.
En 2006 colabora como director de sonido y crea la 'main title sequence' para " Deixa'm en Pau ", una película documental sobre Pau Riba.
Paralelamente, está preparando su primer largometraje previsto para 2009 - 2010.
Sus trabajos más recientes serán recogidos en un CD titulado "Dolby Surrender" un día de estos.

L'explosió de la ciutat Forum de las Culturas 2004

La exposición presentó un intencionado inventario de modalidades de las transformaciones territoriales ocurridas en algunas regiones urbanas euromediterráneas representativas, tanto desde una visión de conjunto como desde la de los fragmentos o situaciones más significativas de los procesos en curso. Esta presentación de sus realidades morfológicas estará acompañada de algunas miradas selectivas sobre los actuales comportamientos sociológicos en relación a los nuevos escenarios de la vida urbana, que se convierten en interrogantes sobre el funcionamiento y los problemas de la actual organización de nuestro hábitat.
