About me:
So, lets do this over again. . . I haven’t changed this whole about me section in forever . . soo. . . lets update this thing . . .So right now I am sitting in caribou, sucking up bandwidth, its what I do. . .The intenet. . its something I use quite frequently. . . okay, constantly. I am always attached to the world wide web. . . be it at home, at caribou. . . but most often, on my cell phone. I own a Samsung i760 with Windows Mobile 6.1. . . speaking of Windows. . . I am a PC. . . and will always be. . I HATE.. . . DISPISE. . . Apple. . . and anything that has to do with Apple. . . (well, minus some of my misguided friends who own them and iPods).
I currently am in school at the University of St Thomas. . . NOT my #1 choic. . . but a choice for now . . I am making an attempt to get a Special Ed liscensure in. . . . EBD? LD? DCD? Who knows. . . I have a couple more classes to decide. Not my #1 choice you ask. . . nope. . . Im not a big fan of the school. . nor have I been since I came here. I tend to do that. . . . The U of Minnesota was my first choice. . .which is where I got my undergrad . . I like the U of MN. . . but my first love. . .pretty much since birth. . . is the University of Michigan. . . that is. . and always be my favorite school. . . even though I didn’t want to go there. . . Im from Michigan BTW.
So what do I do now. . . well. . . I work in special ed. . . I have been for the past 4 years. I spent 4 years working in Minneapolis Public Schools. . . working as an Education Assistant) with DCD (grades 3-8) . . I loved that place. . . and well. . . life often brings opportunity (via St Thomas). I now work in Intermediate School District 287 as an Educaiton assistant in a Transistion Plus (18-21yr old) program with DCD, EBD, LD, DHH, B/VI, . . and what not. . . . its tons of fun. . and very rewarding to work with these students. When I am done with school, I wanna go back to working with the little ones. . . I think that’s where my calling is (as of right now).
