Darren Driver used to play guitar but realised he was rubbish at it so learned how to write pop songs instead. He's much happier now. Lady Orchestra likes chicken so much that she named her violin 'Nando.' She can sing and play violin very well but not at the same time. Danger wanted to be Indiana Jones but couldn't find an appropriate hat. So instead of running away from Nazis with Sean Connery, she started to play guitar. Much safer that way. Danger likes to talk about herself in the 3rd person. Don Khan has done nothing for 26 years. But in the last 2 weeks he has been very busy. Legge did a degree about drawing buildings on computers and one day stumbled across fat riffs and spitting rhythms. Rhythm helps your two hips move.
Raised by crazed ex-hippies Dr Orac PHD fecks about with lasers and talks gibberishabout it that no one else understands. Favourite pie: pie flavoured. Eargoggles doesn't have goggles for ears, but he does have ears, which is handy yet not essential for a drummer. DeLauren Driver does some squawking and her parents are called Bonnie and Dale. Her voice sounds like the taste of an orange. Thus referred to as 'citrus.' Porla squawks as well, but in a lower octave and once she lived in Hull. Her voice sounds like the taste of a galaxy bar. Thus referred to as 'Chocolate.' She's a twirly but we don't really mind.
"Flippin' brilliant. I cannot put into words what a foul mood I was in about 10 minutes before they went on, but by the second track I was utterly won over. The joy beaming down from stage to crowd was just beautifully infectious…Top work all round…as a pure feel-good experience with some rather wonderfully crafted pop songs, it couldn't have been better. Loved it." - Rob Paul Chapman
"Determined to take a miserable evening of grumpiness to it's logical
conclusion I head to the front of what is now a capacity crowd, fold
my arms, scowl indiscriminately, and prepare to dislike DeLorean
Drivers intensely. Five minutes into the set and I am smiling, jumping, singing and proclaiming this is the best band I've seen all year. And I still think I mean that.
The music they produce is joyous. A heady mix of pop, electro, disco and hands in the air choruses that could charm even..well..me in a really, really bad mood. The band are grinning from ear to ear and so are the audience. This is music as a collective experience." - Vibrations Magazine October 2009
"DeLorean Drivers look a fair outside bet. An ambitious (if small) indie label, combined with some truly exhilarating pop music and a killer live show that verges on spiritual communion (Polyphonic Spree meet Scissor Sisters, but with the annoying bits of the latter removed)" - Vibrations Magazine October 2009
