About me:

Born Charles Weedon Westover in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 30, 1934. Son of Bert and Leone Westover (Mosher). Grew up in nearby Coopersville, a small farming town. Moved to Battle Creek, wrote the hit song "Runaway" and, in 1961, became known as "Del Shannon" - 60's rock star. Moved to California in 1966 and continued to write and record music with many other artists to include Tommy Boyce, Bobby Hart, Brian Hyland, Jeff Lynne, and Tom Petty.
