Deltawave aren't following a trend, Deltawave aren't trying to fit in, Deltawave make the music they want to make and wait for the world to catch up.
Coming together two years ago in the city of York, their aim from the outset has been to make fresh music as a soundtrack the 21st century.
Described as electro/indie by some, their guitar dance anthems are inspired by mixture of musical styles ranging from Daft Punk to David Bowie, from New Order to Blondie.
The band have just finished in the studio recording and self producing their debut album, Discophobia, which should be available to buy in February 2009 and they have already received plays on Radio One and XFM, as well as being playlisted on BBC Radio York.
With gigs planned throughout the rest of the year, and winning over new fans at every turn, Deltawave look set to make their mark in 2009. Watch this space.
