This record was recorded shortly after forming in early 2009. Every step of the recording process had been calculated to the last minute to create something unembellished, concrete, real. To watch us live is to hear the recordings live. We are 3 members each giving a different spin on conventional pop creating our “new pop” sound. Each band member contributes more than playing one instrument or maintaining one position in the band. Being able to switch it up and take a sort of the “musical chair” approach seems to open the door for a more creative and expanded sound.

Seemingly ancient, these recordings were not captured in some underground bomb shelter located somewhere in Central Flordia circa "Cuban Missile Crisis". Hushed, dreamy, and a bit flashy at times.
We once heard Van Gogh painted a room in his house yellow for his friend Gauguin. What a torrid relationship they had.

QUESTION: You have a released an album called Russia. What can you tell us about this album?
ANSWER: I can tell you that it has nothing to do with Russia. I put it in quotation marks so that people focus on the word instead of the place. It is not a "concept" album about a country in Europe. It is about what I think of when I think of Russia. I think of a place really far away, that is very isolated and cold and extreme and at the time when I wrote these set of songs I felt isolated and cold and extreme. I felt like "Russia". The music is an acoustic guitar, an upright and electric bass, and an old organ from the 60's. The bass is bowed alot and the organ just comes in every once in awhile.
