Youngest of 3, this up and coming 19 year old singer from Oklahoma City, OK has been writing, singing, and dancing since he was in grade school. By the age of 15 Delvin decided he wanted to pursue music as a career. This talented artist proved himself as a dancer winning 1st place at his high schools talent show in 2007 & 2009. Delvin also won the “Find Your Friends” contest on Music Nation in mid-July 07’, which meant he accumulated the most friends in a certain period of time. Music Nation is a website created by Epic Records for unsigned artists to share there music and ultimately win a record deal with them. He has been featured a striking 14 times on the R&B/ Soul category since becoming a member in July 07.

This singer’s family is from Liberia. His parents moved to the U.S. in there twenty’s to go to college and decided to stay and start a family. Growing up, Delvin’s father influenced him with music from Liberia and the states, with artist such as Bob Marley, Sade, Michael Jackson, & James Brown. This made a big impact on his music. Ever since Delvin was little he use to make his brother watch his concerts and record songs on their cassette player, not knowing how much this would change his life. Now that he has grown up and taken it seriously, he wants to be a persistent, creative, & innovative artist, not another compared singer or one hit wonder. Not having proper equipment did not stop him from pursuing his dream, he still went out and got a 10-dollar microphone and mastered the way of recording to make his song sound as professional as possible.

In 2007, after going through some things, Delvin started writing more & more which made him look at life in a different perspective, and ultimately lead him to make his first mixtape entitled "Mixed Emotions". He went on recording 3 more mixtapes that year. This hard worker wants to make music people can relate to happy and sad for all ages. In late July of 07’ Delvin recorded his first 3 song demo with all original beats produced by Kryz Omari. “Call Me”, one of the songs off the demo qualified in XM Radio’s “Show Us What Ya Got” Contest in August 07, but didn’t make it to the final 5. In Late December of 2007 Delvin was nominated for singer of the year at the 1st annual OKC Mixtape Awards, his hard work finally paid off. In the month of February 2008 he became the number one urban artist in Oklahoma on SoundClick.

In July 2008 Delvin released his 5th mixtape is entitled “Mr. Jack Of All Trades”. The first single entitled “I.C.U” became number one on the SoundClick’s Pop Charts four days after being released. It was his first number one song on that website and stayed a top for two days straight. On July 17th 08’ Delvins 2nd single off the mixtape entitled “Middle of the Night”, featuring his friend Kryz & Oklahoma’s Local Artist N-Dex, premiered on WSup Radio, which is an online radio station for Independent & Unsigned artists. That was the first time he ever got his song played on an online radio station. On December 16th, 2008 Delvin released his 6th mixtape entitled “The Great Escape”, which was a collection of his favorite songs from his past 5 mixtapes.

On March 17th, 2009 Delvin released his 7th mixtape entitled “Young Heart: Beats of Love”. It has been his most successful mixtape thus far and includes his new hit single “Ride”, featuring his friend Kryz Omari. He even got the opportunity to perform this song at his senior Prom and at the Southwestern Oklahoma State University college music festival called Palooza. Delvin has recorded over 100 songs & 7 mixtapes in the past 2 years. Delvin is an unsigned artist but will continue to do more music as he strives to fulfill his dreams and one day sign with a major label. The next step for him will be his debut EP, which he starts recording in August 09’. Delvin will also be attending college in fall 09’.
