Sounds Like

I am a Feminist! Are you?

Are you a feminist?
Your Result: You are a full blooded feminist!

You believe in women's rights all the way and continue to be unhappy with the way things are right now and wish for more change. You are willing to take part in marches, boycotts and meetings that involve the amelioration of women's issues. You realize that society views feminists negatively but still are proud to call yourself one. You are appalled to see women who don't have a clue that "gender" is simply a term which the definition is 100% man made. If you feel a comment is sexist or makes you uncomfortable you speak up on it! You are always aiming to help others become aware of how much further women need to go and how society restricts them and predetermines their roles. You hate that feminists are so devided in themselves and believe that only if they are unified can they make a difference. We need more of you!

There is a strong feminist inside you! Let it out!
You are being held back by society's constrictions
Are you a misogynist!?
Are you a feminist?

Happy Birthday, fellow poet!

ONCE A YEAR

A birthday comes around but once a year.
You should fill it with memories and cheer.
It is a day for much laughter and smiles.
You ought to enjoy yourself for awhile.

This is a day for you to celebrate.
On your blessings, you must concentrate.
It is a day for you to reflect on times past
And be thankful you were able to last.

A birthday is quality time to spend
With spouse, family members and friends.
It is not a day for bearing sorrow
But a looking forward to tomorrow.

A birthday honors your life–day of birth,
Reminding you how much that you are worth.
On this day you are second to no one.
You deserve to unwind and have some fun.

It's SO good to hear from you...and thanks for the kind words. The Katrina book is finally going to see the light of day, in September--because people like you believed in it.

How goes it with you? I'm in the academic job market now, and all is chaos. (But don't you feel CC at your back, pushing you forward, always?)

Miss you,

P
