I moved from Michigan to Los Angeles a few years ago looking to forget everything I’d ever known.
I had been a lost art student, and I wanted to wake up in another world.
I initially spent some time being confused, and hopeless, and wondering what the point of anything is. But finally I think I’m in a better place mentally.
Being in LA, has helped a lot. I’ve written a lot of songs. That has helped.
I’ve been playing a lot of open mike nights, usually at the UnUrban Coffeehouse in Santa Monica and busking on the Promenade, also in Santa Monica.
I don’t live in Santa Monica though.
It seems like everything in my life has been a huge struggle, or fight.
Coming up, don't miss it!--The Doctress will host some new talent LIVE in the studio next Thursday where I will showcase singer/songwriter/guitarist Demetri Politis, whose quirky pop songs have been compared to Jonathan Richman, Lou Reed, and Weezer.
His songs are sometimes autobiographical, but usually revolve around vignettes of twisted people. They have caused an open mic host to deem him a "troubled young man" and a homeless person to yell at him while he was busking on the Santa Monica Promenade. Come listen and give some support to a fine musician!

I have now completed my latest album Republic Of Life, if you have not already heard the other songs up, I recommend you do, the stuff is amazing. I occasionally take breaks in between to get a fresh listen, the stuff is literally magical, I even surprise myself with the composition, lyrics, emotion, and intelligence. Golden Censer 2003 album song called Proclomation – having performed exorcisms in my home I was inspired to sing about it.
I have another song in this album which is an exorcism for all who hear it, that one to come soon also. And many other great songs in this album.
Plenary Indulgence album 2005 songs-These songs I was just inspired to do, the rest of this album is composed in a similar style with the computer doing the singing.
I call this one just awesome ‘Power’
Other songs to come from an album called ‘Elisha’ in which I fasted with just green tea for a couple days,,life is about experiencing something new, something to give you a different outlook on life, if everyone just watches programs on tv a day they become the same product in the aftermath, when you take in something new, you become something extraordinary.

I have had profound visions. Twice recently I awoke thinking that I was dead. Truth, we are all going to die, I want to die knowing I made a difference. We were born in a world that was all ours yet the weak and frail have called it there’s and imposed there rules on us. A democracy which is taken by a select few and not the majority. We are living lives that people of the past designed where it is legal to abort a fetus but illegal to do drugs. We all have a free will, but it has been taken. We live in a world where even religion separates people, a world where people are told to pay high fees for college for a curriculum devised by some outdated professor, institution or political figure. We have been raised on not caring and not helping our fellow brethren.
