About me: My name is Jacob and I am a recent graduate from Lyon College—a tiny liberal arts school nestled in only slightly larger city of Batesville, Arkansas. I got my degree in history. I am originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas—which is a much larger city of about 55K just about 45 mins south of Little Rock. In addition to the history major, I also have a minor in philosophy and a pseudo-minor in English (I’ve just taken about 12 English credits). I plan to attend the history graduate program at ASU-Jonesboro (pending my acceptance). Ultimately, my plan is to get my PhD in history (likely either classical history or medieval history). But that is enough about my life goals for this section.
I’m a generally fun spirited guy. I enjoy good friends, conversations, and the occasional movie. I am not a huge partier (though I am a brother of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity). I just never really got into that scene. I am an overall good guy who is open to most new ideas that other present. I tend to enjoy the company of others. I really do. The problem comes when I need to get away. Most people like to think of me as the guy who can come and have some fun but otherwise live by himself without any ill effects. While the majority of that thought pattern is true, the part that is untrue is that when I am in a relationship, I kind of want to be around them a lot.
Who I'd like to meet: I want more than anything to meet a guy who can and will prove me wrong about the untrustworthiness of guys. He does not have to be the perfect guy really. He just has to show me that I can trust what people say form time to time and that there is stability in other people. Sure, I’ve found it in myself and that is great! But I want to find it in others as well. I need that confirmation that there is goodness in other people. As of yet, I’ve failed to get the bibliography on that memo.
In addition, I would not mind meeting people who are generally upbeat about most aspects to life. Generally genuine people need only apply :o)
